Hello everyone. I just wanted to share my experience requesting the extension of my residence permit for work in Stuttgart, hopefully this helps someone who is also struggling with this.
My residence permit expires on the second week of May 2023. I had been trying to contact the ausländerbehörde for many months. I sent several emails in English 5 months before the expiry date, requesting an appointment and information for the process. I sent a follow up email 2 months before, this time in German. No reply for any of these emails, also impossible to get in touch by phone during the hours they are supposed to be available.
I sent a final email a week before my permit expired with URGENT in the subject, attaching all the documents that seem to be required for the process in the website, asking for an appointment and mentioning that I would go in person to get a temporary extension (fiktionsbescheinigung).
Two days after sending this email, I received an email from them saying they would immediately send the fiktionsbescheinigung by post, giving me an appointment on the third week of June, and defining which documents to provide (which are different than stated on the website).
Coincidentally, the day I received the email I was in line to try to get in without an appointment since I had not received any response at that moment and I was completely out of options. On that day, I arrived half hour before opening time and there were already 50 people in line. Unfortunately, when I first approached one of the security guys, he might have been new, he told me to wait in line. I waited for another security guy and he was more aware about the situation. I explained my case to him, showed him the expiry date on my residence permit, and he immediately let me in without standing in line and provided a number to wait. As soon as I went in, they took me very quickly, checked the status of my case, and said I will receive the fiktionsbescheinigung by post and they would contact me for an appointment.
That’s as far as I have gotten right now. I might provide an update later if something extraordinary happens. To anyone reading this, hope you are able to resolve your case and good luck!

I currently have an unlocked android phone and I use AT&T prepaid. For some reason my phone does not have Wifi calling ability which is pretty frustrating.
I run a business so I need to be able to use my actual US phone number and not a local SIM with a different number. For some reason I can't seem to find any reviews of this plan from anyone who's actually used it.

I would imagine it goes like this :-
Stage One : Patient Zero appears and starts to infect the population. It’s unlikely she (and they) work in the general infrastructure but that doesn’t matter, because “Bacon’s Law of Six Degrees” suggests they know someone who knows someone who does.
Stage Two : As the virus spreads and more people turns, the odds of the virus reaching people who work in the infrastructure increases, but also the odds of the fear of the virus reaching people who work in the infrastructure increases. So pretty soon there will be a tipping point —-
Stage Three : The Tipping Point. There are either enough people infected or enough people who don’t want to leave their homes or enough people who have fled their homes to ensure that the people who manage the city/town/village infrastructure are no longer around. And while during a “normal” pandemic (flu, Ebola, Covid 19 etc) there can be requirements to work and ways to take safety precautions to ensure staff will turn up to work, when a single bit will kill you and ensure you turn into a zombie it is pretty hard to make people turn up to work. Especially when your boss and the government has probably collapsed as well.
Stage Four : With no one to manage the infrastructure, it collapses. Power goes off, gas stops, water stops. The city collapses into chaos. We are now in a post apocalyptic world.
Stage Five : Everyone dies. Or at least mostly everyone dies, and those who don’t wish they had.
That’s pretty much why.
Another interpretation
During a zombie apocalypse, as the virus is being spread across the country, people are panicking, trying to find their families, trying to find safety, looting, rioting.
The last thing your thinking about when you see your neighbor Bill being eaten by his wife Shelly, is that you gotta punch in at the plant today. No way, your either going crazy and looting, or your planning your next move listening for news,gathering supplies, getting your loved ones together and getting out of the cities to somewhere safer.
So basically, its affecting people that would be going to their jobs, if there is no one to run the power plants, there is no power.
A power station is really a machine that extracts energy from a fuel. Some power stations burn fossil fuels such as coal, oil, or gas. Nuclear power stations produce energy by splitting apart atoms of heavy materials such as uranium and plutonium. The heat produced is used to convert water into steam at high pressure. This steam turns a windmill-like device called a turbine connected to an electricity generator. Extracting heat from a fuel takes place over a number of stages and some energy is wasted at each stage. That means power plants are not very efficient: in a typical plant running on coal, oil, or gas, only about 30–40 percent of the energy locked inside the fuel is converted to electricity and the rest is wasted.

2023.06.04 08:53 Flaky_Protection8178 It’s now been 50 days since I revealed to my former therapist about my past inappropriate relationship with my former therapist. I was a minor then but I’m no longer a minor.
I’m 24, I live in California. About almost a month ago I revealed to my therapist about my past inappropriate relationship with my teacher when we had our first session over the phone my former therapist did not mention anything about reporting it until she caught me off guard and texted me the next morning asking me for information such as the school I went to and the city I was living in, of course I refused to answer I didn’t want to report especially since she has not worked at the school in 9 years, is no longer a teacher, and moved away. Although my former therapist was doing what she thought was right, she was trying to guilt trip me and pressure me. When she texted me 3 days later asking me for answers I still declined once I had enough I told her I wanted to end my sessions with her due to the extreme anxiety she was causing me. After that I blocked her number. Have not heard from her since, I looked online to see if the report was made and so far nothing, no one has called or came to my door to ask questions. Should I be scared? I don’t want this to go any further.

to start i know i messed up for this but i just dont know what to do and how to go about it. a few days ago i was on a dating app scrolling through and i got a message from a profile they wanted to chat and we conversated for a few minutes. they asked for my number so i gave it to them and we continued the convo just chatting after a bit they got a bit sexual and sent me a nude (which i did not ask for) and asked for one hack which i did send one without a face on it. i was not trying to get anywhere with this. but continued talking with them and at this point i was kind of already doing something else and wasnt super engaged with the conversation and got another nude from them and they asked for one of just my downstairs area. i was just entertaining the idea so i did. after this they said they were gonna send me a video of themselves. all i said was okay and was went about my time. after an hour of not getting no response i did send another text of (so where is my video?) just to see if you know. they were still trying to talk. they didnt reply back. about 20-30 minutes passed of this and basically just assumed they only wanted to see my nudes so i deleted the converstation and the phone number not thinking anything about it. the next day i got a text from another number saying it was this persons parent. and that they seen everything that was said and the pictures that were sent. they basically said that the person i was talking to was under age (which on the app said he was 21 and the pictures of their face looked like he was of age) which i understand its my fault and i shohld have asked bout it. i explained to them thst i did not know and thst i was sorry which i am i really am i would have never done something like that knowing they werent of age. i dont know what to do about this whole thing…. they said they wont call the cops but that the phone the person was using got broken and want me to help pay for it… i already struggle as is and dont think i can…. i live basically paycheck to paycheck… can someone plz help me out?

Anyone else having an issue with many packages showing up in their mailbox that were never ordered? They arrive weekly from China, with my name, address and phone number printed clearly on them. Even more strange are the contents. First let me explain that they arrive randomly, 1-3 small plastic packages a week. All the same or very similar. As mentioned my details printed clearly, the senders details vary from package to package, but all from China...this has been going on for more than a year. The contents; varies from a plastic "grafting buckle" -a plastic 3d printed clasp, to actual metal key rings, a single hair band, *new very small sanitary pads, a shower cap...you get the picture, useless items that weigh very little and have almost no cost.
Trying to track it back on a Chinese tracking website, usually ends up at a express company that is owned by Alibaba. My info doesnt show up on the tracking website, just basic transport info.
My best guess is that someone i have ordered from before have sold my info to someone else and ship these nice presents for no reason. But the real question is WHY? Any one else having the same issue or atleast know how to make it stop?

My best guess is that someone i have ordered from before have sold my info to someone else and ship these nice presents for no reason. But the real question is WHY? Any one else having the same issue or atleast know how to make it stop?

It’s been just over a month since I moved out after almost 3.5 years. We moved quickly and I moved in by Feb 2020 (a month before the world shut down). We met Nov 2019.
I didn’t have pets growing up and he already had a dog that was around 3 years old. He wanted to get another dog and so he got a puppy Dec 2019. The puppy was around 9 weeks when we got him. I grew really attached to him and bc of covid we spent a lot of time with him. I also transitioned to a remote job so needless to say the dog spent the most time with me.
I knew I couldn’t take the dog when I walked out bc he was also really attached to the other dog and I moved back home to figure things out and my parents wouldn’t be ok with having him in the house. He’s also a pit/bully mix so def temperamental.
Anyway I know it’s only been a little over a month but I’m really struggling I miss the dog so much 🥺 my nex emails me (the only way he can contact me) and tells me how miserable the do is without me… I had to change my phone number bc he would contact me from random #s…
I just feel the lowest I’ve felt and it’s bc I keep thinking about the dog 😞just need some words of encouragement right now. He’s blocked on everything but sometimes I unblock his IG and I did that tonight and. He posted a pic of the dog wearing my bandana … I just broke down I know I shouldn’t have looked but it’s just so sad . I hope he’s ok 😩

For those who are unfamiliar, the ‘Money On Windshield Scam’ is when a car thief leaves cash under your wiper in hopes you start your car, notice the money, then exit your car to retrieve it. The thief then hops into your running vehicle and takes off with it.
In this case, an iPhone was placed on the driver’s side corner of my windshield. I didn’t notice it was there until I was a block away, at which point I got out to inspect it. Instead of circling around to see if the owner was nearby, I got back in my car to finish my errands. When I got home, I noticed a few missed calls from a man named “J.” iPhone’s locked, so I problem solve. I don’t know how to ask Siri to call “J,” not “Jay,” so I call “mom” instead, lol. MIL picks up and I give her my address and personal phone number.
A bit later, J calls me and explains that he and his girl (the owner) were on a date the previous day in a different part of town. So, presumably, the couple drove an hour into the city to visit neighborhood A, the phone was swiped, and then the stolen phone was ditched (or purposefully placed) on my car in neighborhood B, 20 minutes away. J’s delivery has my alarm bells ringing, but his girl calls and her story mostly matches up. Communication was all through her iPhone via call, neither one reached out to my personal phone.
In the end, they came and picked up her phone together. All that was exchanged was “here you go” and “thanks, bye!”
The only part that gives me pause is that, the next morning, I get a text message from an unknown number saying “hey sweetheart, you like bbc” from an area code where the couple lives. I guess I find it odd because her lock screen was a picture of BOTH of them holding a child. Not my relationship, not my problem…

In this case, an iPhone was placed on the driver’s side corner of my windshield. I didn’t notice it was there until I was a block away, at which point I got out to inspect it. Instead of circling around to see if the owner was nearby, I got back in my car to finish my errands. When I got home, I noticed a few missed calls from a man named “J.” iPhone’s locked, so I problem solve. I don’t know how to ask Siri to call “J,” not “Jay,” so I call “mom” instead, lol. MIL picks up and I give her my address and personal phone number.
A bit later, J calls me and explains that he and his girl (the owner) were on a date the previous day in a different part of town. So, presumably, the couple drove an hour into the city to visit neighborhood A, the phone was swiped, and then the stolen phone was ditched (or purposefully placed) on my car in neighborhood B, 20 minutes away. J’s delivery has my alarm bells ringing, but his girl calls and her story mostly matches up. Communication was all through her iPhone via call, neither one reached out to my personal phone.
In the end, they came and picked up her phone together. All that was exchanged was “here you go” and “thanks, bye!”
The only part that gives me pause is that, the next morning, I get a text message from an unknown number saying “hey sweetheart, you like bbc” from an area code where the couple lives. I guess I find it odd because her lock screen was a picture of BOTH of them holding a child. Not my relationship, not my problem…

I have a very complex case of gastroparesis where meds that should speed my gut motility actually slow the motility and things like opioids speed up my motility. I couldn't believe how much better my stomach felt after being on opioids pre and post op for a different condition so I got a retest and improved my score by like 75% when on opioids?
Anyways, this is completely against conventional knowledge and even with the paperwork no GI doc would even entertain giving me opioids for gastroparesis, but my PCP isn't so freakin scared of the DEA that he just asked how much I needed (I used to work in pharmacy so I made sure the was in the clear) so I would get just 12 4mg tabs/week.
Fastforward, my PCP was telling me he was starting to get nervous because of the number he's written without going to a pain specialist which I also went to one but she said no too. So I went to one he runs in social circles and the doc literally just asked me what mg and how many pills I wanted? This is with a large practice and the furthest I bet they go now is with buperenorphine which trashes my endocrine system so I was surprised how easy it was.
However technically he gave me a UA expecting my previous doc's Dilaudid to be in my urine but it's not showing? All the other meds are popping up...is this a cutoff type urine or do you think he'll just give me another?

I need to replace two reeds which were missing from my project accordion. I tried to order some from Hohner, but they told me that one of them I requested was not available. This got me thinking, and I realized I don't actually know for sure if I even ordered the correct octaves for these reeds. Sure enough, when the other arrived, it was (at least) one octave higher than what I thought I asked for. I'm not sure if I made a mistake or if Hohner made a mistake with this one, because the only labeling I saw on my packing slip is the Hohner part number, and I can't find any reference to that number on their website.
I've reached out to customer service to confirm, but to make sure I don't make this mistake in the future, how do you know what octave number you have for a given reed? So the last 3 nights I’ve been at girls camp my first year going (my parents forced me) but also my last since I’m turning 18 soon. So the pros of going Ignore any spelling errors I’m dyslexic and sleep deprived 1. I didn’t have to deal with my parents for 3 days (the second I got my phone back and called them they started screaming at me😍) 2. My friend was thier who also dosent believe in any of this 3. I was a ycl so it was really easy to ditch Now the cons I’m not going to number bec it’s be way to many Day 1 I have ti wake up at 5 am to pick up my friend who was going drive the 60 miles to town and drop off my non-Mormon best friend at her house and be to the church by 7. Now we start going up the mountain and I can instantly tell it’s going to be cold the paper they gave us said the lows would be 55 and highs in the 90s (I’m guessing they put the towns temperature not the very top of the mountain) That paper also told us thier would be cabins but guess what, the cabins were for the prestod only we were in tents (but they did give us cots so we obviously should of all been so grateful after being lied to) The first meal they feed us is white rice that was severely undercooked and a mystery soup on top it was disgusting and cold basically prison food. Now the other people the ycls had gotten special permission to go a day early if they wanted (yay who dosent want to spend an extra day in the woods) but luckily I had my college orientation so I didn’t go early, but bec I didn’t go none of the other yvls knew me and they all moved into tents together to keep body heat and I was by myself in my tent that didn’t zip. And I forgot to mention the hail it hails practically the whole time. I don’t remember what dinner was but I just got the salad. Now I’m trying to sleep I’m in pain alone and freezing cold i started just silently crying myself to sleep into my pillow wanting to go home I think I got at most 2 hours of sleep the first night. Day 2. I woke up trying to plan a way to get out early maybey tell the nurse my leg was in the worst pain I had ever felt(witch wasn’t a lie if I was home I would of made my parents take me to the er for it it was so bad) or maybey I could make myself puke and get to go home that way. I get up and change then I went to breakfast and waited for my friend the second day was mostly classes with the levels you were over so I just sat in the back and zoned out. Then during grove time me and my friend went off somewhere and just messed around but bec nethire of us had a watch we “accidentally” ditched 2 of our classes but then her ycls saw us walking trying to find where to go when ppl were walking to the next activity’s so we got separated for about a hour. I was going with my level to the class when I saw them in a Ben h so I just joined them and a friend they made who also didn’t believe and we just talked shot for a hour before thier ycls were like we got this class now let’s go so I just went with my group then it was dinner and it was baked potatoes they gave everyone half of a small potato and one hawaiian roll. After dinner was the ward testimony meetings we sat thier for a hour with my ward and 2 others no one said anything one leader gave thier testimony at the beginning but we all just sat thier for a hour and then made s’mores. Then thier was a dance that was optional but they made you go they had leaders blocking the way to tents. Then they have the level awards and all I want to do is go to sleep but I can’t, at like 11:30 they finally let us got to bed I can’t sleep again and the pain is so much worse I had 5 shirts in and 3pants but still was freezing. Day 3 Finally the last day I pack my bags in the morning bec I couldn’t sleep not like I was going ti wake anyone up in my empty tent so I pack so I can take it to my friends tent to avoid walk-in g all the way up the steep hill. Breakfast is biscuits and gravy that have absolutely no flavor they give us basiclly 3 hours of free time so I just go with my friend to thier tent we just sit untill they do the skits and lunch is again flavorless itallian food and then we load up our bags and they had checked ycms off as fine but then they make all the ycls walk all the way back up to check the trash after almost 4 hours from the time we were supposed to leave we finally do drive back to town and then I take me and my friend for coffeee and subway and we get home While during the day the second and third it wasn’t completely terrible the nights were hell and I hated it not just bec it’s a shitty Jesus camp but bec we were lied to the food was ass and the living conditions were terrible. I told my parents how much I hated it and instead of the expected suck it up you need to be glad you went my mom actually apologized for making me go with shocked me and my best friend I think she’s only every apologized legitamenty like once or twice so that’s a plus but still it was hellish The cons turns into more just a schedule but oh well it was all a con Again ignore any spelling errors I’m tired and my keyboard is glitched out

Mi'aera broke record after record. She had been talking to the xeno for hours now! What's more, Natalia was already practically her friend!
"I have a xeno friend! I'm progressive!" She couldn't get over her happiness.
The girls were already on first-name terms.
Natalia, or Natka, was very friendly. Even though she was a bit older than Mi (well, everyone was), Mi'aera felt like they were the same age. The optimism and openness of the human woman were a nice change, something the young militiawoman had been waiting for for a long time. And it was contagious.
"- So, Mi…" Natalia, driving the patrol car, spoke to Mi'aera, who was sitting next to her. Literally, a few minutes earlier, the girls had agreed to call each other by short names. "- I've never met Shil who doesn't have a surname, just a number."
Mi nodded.
"- Once upon a time, in the entire empire, only the nobles had surnames, over the generations, in most provinces, the commoners began to adopt the surnames of their lords or the nicknames of their occupations, and so on," she explained. Natka nodded her head.
"- Heh, it makes sense, on Earth it was basically the same, there were still some constructions on the principle of Son or Daughter of Somebody," the human added. This time, it was Mi who nodded.

Natka focused on the road and did not speak for a while.

"- No need to apologize, a large proportion of the population of the entire galaxy was born with some form of in vitro fertilization, at least once a race has acquired this technology. The Empire has been doing this for hundreds of years. After all, with such a small number of males, our population would be numerically impossible. In the Palatinate, every few years, based on the census, the government determines how many additional children are to be born. I had a good childhood, if that's what you're concerned about, I'm not an orphan." She replied with conviction.
Natka digested the information for some time.
"- It probably is just like you are saying..." Natka finally said, "- I have no reason to doubt the Empire," she confessed.

Hearing these words, Mia shuddered.

The militiawoman looked at the photo. It was a selfie of the shill doctor embracing a much shorter, bald, and incredibly emaciated human male…

It wasn't a male or a boy, it was Natka! incredibly thin, completely unrecognizable. And without any breasts… Mi'aera shifted her gaze to the human woman sitting next to her, whose cleavage was decent even by Shil standards. Natka, seeing where the militiawoman's eyes wandered, smiled.
"- Doctor Major Mile'ana Vespaena, she also helped me size the implants so that after the treatment I would look like a normal Imperial woman," the human explained.
Mi nodded. Natka was actually very proportional, her athletic figure was deceptively similar to Shil's, she was just much, much shorter.
"Like a little xeno sister," Mi thought.

Human women were terribly masculine, but Mi could not be angry with her companion. The woman went through hell that no modern inhabitant of the Empire should ever experience.
"Breast amputations?! Goddess! What a nightmare!"
Natka quickly turned her head away and focused on the road, apparently ashamed of her manly behavior.
"- It's a pity the Empire didn't send more personnel from your region to the Liberation of Earth, Mi," the human confessed. "- It would probably look completely different."
The Municipal Guard's working day was not fundamentally different from a typical militia shift. Mi and Natka caught several juvenile cyclists exceeding the speed limit. Mi'aera shuddered at how firm Natka could be with these cute, roguish boys. The pair also managed to catch one boy painting graffiti on the wall, no anti-government slogans, just some drawings.
"- So Natka, apparently you can help me with accommodation…" Mi started when they were both back in the car.
"- Yeah, sure, listen. I recently took out a mortgage on an apartment in a new district, you know, such an investment for the future. Everything in Shil style, but it's hard to find a good tenant…"

It's been a few weeks since the Imperial Envoy incident. The woman's family name was slowly disappearing from Imperial databases. The process will take years, but in the end, it will be as if her bloodline never existed. When Palatine destroyed her enemies, she made them disappear as if they had never been there.

However, both Palatine and her daughters knew that something like this would not go unnoticed by the throne. The ruler of the moon did not contemplate the possibility of the empress's reaction, she was waiting for it.
It didn't take long for an emissary of the sovereign, a prince of imperial blood, to arrive on the moon's surface. In the Palatinate, male nobles had no formal authority and were not recognized as emissaries. Of course, the capital knew about it, the choice was not accidental, the representative that the empress sent was not only a male but also one of her youngest relatives. The boy was short and frail, no more than eight standard years old. He would have been of legal age in the Palatinate, but not in the capital from which he came. So the empress sent a child to meet her vassal, and there was nothing the Palatine could do about it.
The Child lad strode proudly from his craft to the landing platform, accompanied by a great escort of capital dignitaries, where Palatine and her daughters, as well as local nobles, awaited him.
To all this, the young prince was dressed in a modern fashion, in a golden blouse revealing the navel. At the same time, he was wearing the insignia of a representative of the imperial family.
The custom commanded that Ysariah's mother and her daughters kneel before him, face down.

"- Aunt Aivui!" The young prince broke free from his retinue and unceremoniously threw himself on the Palatine's neck.
The moon lord caught him neatly, making the whole situation look completely natural.
Standing nearby with her sisters, Ysariah blinked. She had never in her life heard anyone refer to her mother as Aivui, not even her own partner Mo'othu allowed himself to use her diminutive name.
"- Prince Kri'jha." Palatine Aivuilpar Otharasoth replied warmly, setting the young man back to the ground. "- I'm honored that you remember me, the last time I saw you, you have bearly reaching your mother's waist, and now... by the goddess, you're a beautiful man."
"- Oh Aunt Aivui…" the boy waved his hand. "- stop it, please, otherwise I'm going to turn blue. How could I forget the godmother who gave me my own town on a tropical planet and a private yacht as a gift? I just got back from a party I had there!"
"- Well…I'm glad you like it, prince," Aivuilpar said modestly, to which the boy nodded and slowly began to survey his surroundings.
Ysariah kept her face neutral but remained attentive. Someone who could talk to her mother so casually had to be taken deadly seriously. The prince first greeted the Aivuilpar's firstborn, Ysariah's older sister, and only then focused on her.
"- Oh, isn't that the paragon knight herself?! Lady Ysariah of the house Otharasoth?"
"- My liege," Ysariah said, going down on one knee as her older sister had just done.
"- Oh..." the young prince covered his mouth in excitement. "- I must have watched the video a hundred times, you are so brave," he said, then looked at Aivuilpar "- Auntie! Your daughter is the hero of every gentleman-in-waiting. Anyway… we will discuss it later…"
"- We can discuss whatever you desire, my prince, over dinner," Aivuilpar suggested kindly. Kri'jha smiled.
"- Oh sure, Aunty, I hope, just please… I know the Palatinate is traditional and all that, but do you serve here any meatless courses…?
After a banquet in his honor, Kri'jha ordered his servant to fetch a small box. With the object, the young prince sat down in the Palatine's study, in her chair behind her desk, while the woman herself stood in front of him. Aivuilpar did not stand alone, Kri'jha demanded that Ysariah accompany her.
"- I will now convey to you our dear empress's wish," said the boy, who had been still acting like a spoiled urchin a moment ago.
Aivuilpar straightened up and craned her head up. Ysariah watched her mother prepare to take responsibility for her recent actions.
Kri'jha stared at his aunt but as he formed his mouth for words, he turned his gaze towards Ysariah.
"- Knight Ysariah of the house Otharasoth, your bravery has drawn the eyes of our gracious empress. It is her Imperial Majesty's desire, for you to carry her unspoken wishes.
