Lyrics of blue bayou

It's been almost a year since I started playing through the Trails series, and I just beat Cold Steel 2! I basically binged through it in the past two weeks--the weather has been too hot to go outside, or so my excuse has been. I still have more to finish in Erebonia, but after two games I thought I'd get my thoughts out in text on both Cold Steel itself and how it relates to the rest of the games altogether. Warning, word-vomit ahead!
Crafts!
Crafts have always been around throughout the series, and there are usually a few stand out entries each game like Zin's Thunder God Kick, Elie's Holy Bullet in Zero, Lloyd's Raging Spin in Azure, and so on. Arts have definitely dominated though. However, never have there been so many good crafts across all the characters. I swear every single member on Class 7 had at least one really good craft, and I loved that. Even in the second game where accuracy for melee definitely took a hit, they were still extremely strong.
I still had characters I used mostly as mages like Emma, but even with her I would use her magic reflect craft frequently. Alisa's Heavenly Gift was a mainstay in my team for the entirety of Cold Steel 2. Fie's Sweep and Scud Ripper were incredible for going around and killing mobs, and her damage late Cold Steel 2 was so good I used her for most of the bosses as well. Jusis was basically used as a Noble Command bot because holy hell that is a lot of buffs. And that's not even talking about how good Rean's True Arc Slash, Gale EX and Flame Dragon were. Definitely hope this is the case for all future games as not having Arts be your only true option is incredibly fun.
Favorite Characters!
While overall I would say my attachment to Class 7 has been noticeably weaker after two games than with the Sky cast or the SSS, I do like some of the characters quite a lot. Fie has been my outstanding favorite in Cold Steel--her backstory is interesting, her characterization is both cute and funny, and she is strong and effective both in gameplay and story. She reminds me a lot of Tio with her generally deadpan expression and humor, and Tio is my one of my favorite characters so... I may be biased.
I feel Rean has been a pretty interesting main character too. Maybe not so much as Estelle, but at least moreso than Lloyd (no matter how much I love my boy). I do feel like they took some traits from Lloyd (speeches, denseness) and pasted them right over to Rean, but I guess that is just the shonen protagonist curse.
Apart from them, I've liked the development they gave Emma. I think they kept everything hidden/vague maybe a bit too long (I think they had the "Aren't you going to ask me about the weird witchy thing that just happened?" scene at least 3 times lol), but I appreciate her quite a lot. Alisa has not had too much plot relevance, which is unfortunate because I actually like her quite a lot. I think the romance between her and Rean is pretty cute, especially after the scene in Nord in CS1. I like how caring she is not just towards the protagonist, but towards all the other characters as well. She's a good big sister type haha.
Sara has been pretty decent, although I felt like she kept her distance from Class 7 somewhat in the second game which is a bit sad. I am happy to see her returning to the Bracer life though, and her backstory was cool to have confirmed. Jusis has been pretty good too--a bit disappointed in the long periods between when he has plot relevance, but I suppose that it just how it is sometimes. Millium is both an annoying gremlin and also my adorable child, and her backstory and characterization in terms of her empathy has been good. I cried as soon as I saw her cry for the first time in the epilogue haha.
I feel like Elliot was a fine character but I never got particularly invested in him. Same thing for Gaius and Machias. Laura is one character who I didn't use much of, but I like her overall and I feel like her character could definitely go somewhere interesting--especially with her ties to Legram and now her somewhat oblivious rivalry with Duvalie (which I love).
Returning characters!
I know he shows up at the very beginning, but I thought it was just going to be a cameo, so I got SO excited in Cold Steel 1 the SECOND I heard the lute being played by our favorite traveling bard. Disclaimer, he is probably my second or third favorite character so I may be biased, but every time this man was on screen brought me so much joy. I probably had a similar reaction in Azure when you meet Klaudia and The Wind from Liberl plays (I legitimately started crying lmao). I liked how they kept it mostly about Class 7 for both games though. Seeing Bleublanc and Duvalie before their actual introduction in the story was super fun too!
When I got to the divertissement and I heard Lloyd narrating, and then we SEE Crossbell and Lloyd/Rixia in proper 3d I about jumped out of my seat. My only regret is I didn't get to see my girl Tio! The dungeon felt a bit filler-y, but man, just getting to see the Crossbell cast again had me so excited, and the boss fight at the end surprised me and made me really interested for the next CS game too. Also... glad we got in a barrier speech from Lloyd right at the end lmao.
The Quartz System
I have a love-hate relationship with the new system. I would say on the whole I actually prefer the old system with the elemental values--I never found it particularly difficult to understand and I enjoyed optimizing it and having a large variety of arts options. I do think Master Quartz tend to help with that but it is still noticeable. That said, my LORD cold steel really steps it up for melee orbment setups which I appreciate so much, especially with how much crafts improved. It has some really good quartz like the different status-inflicting quartz, Impede being super useful, "Breaker" quartz, as well as really strong melee options like Domination, Carnage, or Wrath. Not directly related, but I also really liked the addition of Zero Arts turns--I loved equipping Chrono Burst on my melee character and occasionally getting the free double melee turns haha.
I also think the variety of Master Quartz is really good at this point--I loved using both Aries and Criminal on Emma and Alisa respectively. Aries let me absolutely spam Maelstrom, especially after getting water bell, basically for free. Criminal was great on Alisa for turns between using Heavenly Gift to maximize her damage with her lack of EP regen. Both Raven and Vermillion in CS2 were really good on Rean as well. Plus there are the dozen other great options--definitely one of my favorite features they have added.
The Plot Pacing and Stakes
Honestly my biggest complaint with the new arc. Cold Steel 1 had some weird stakes at the end of the game. While Sky FC had you going underneath the castle to save the country from Richard, and Zero had you making a last stand against the drugged-up CGF soldiers to stop them breaking into the IBC, CS1 has you going through the Old Schoolhouse at the end of the game because if they don't take care of it they... won't be able to have a school festival because the old schoolhouse is blue? I know it's so you get Valimar, but compared to the other games the stakes in that moment really felt like a letdown. Thankfully, the very end hits--Crow does his thing and Trista gets invaded, Rean gets launched off, and now you're excited for the next game. It kind of had me expecting a Fire Emblem: Three Houses deal for the second game.
Cold Steel 2 has you going around to collect your team again in Act 1, and then retaking the towns in Act 2. I think Act 1 was mostly fine--a bit repetitive maybe, and it doesn't have the benefit the first game had of these places being new to keep the repetitive structure fresh. Act 2 I really started to feel the burnout with the liberating towns cycle and the spirit shrines. The recapturing of Trista and the academy was an idea that had me really excited, but after the one mech battle the only people there to fight you are... 8 nobles from the academy, 6 of which were students? Which wasn't only an easy fight, but also... there were only two duels! It felt way too easy, which really felt like a letdown.
The finale itself was really good overall--the Infernal Castle was awesome. As Millium put it, it really felt like a final dungeon. It still felt a bit weird how Vita set up this whole duel, Crow lost, and then she didn't explain why the duel happened, but I am guessing that is less of a problem with the stakes and more something that will be explained in a future game. (Side note: I suspected the witches were destined to repeat a cycle of the two Chevalier's fighting and Vita left because she wanted to break that cycle, but that doesn't seem to be the case so... we will see.) I feel like the game itself should've ended after the divertissement and maybe another cutscene, but the epilogue went on WAY too long. I ended up blazing through the dungeon as fast as I could and got to the boss, and the boss literally says "there is no point to beating me" which made me laugh given the issues I have had with the stakes, but with all the classmates going their separate ways it felt like one last victory lap to show how much they had grown--both in their own capacity and with each other, so it got a pass from me haha. Still WAY too long though.

Seriously, how many times did this happen? Did we actually beat anyone in CS2? One thing I've enjoyed about the Trails series so far is very few people are so ridiculously strong they can't be overcome with teamwork. There are some exceptions I have been fine with, like facing Arianrhod in Azure--it makes sense. Honestly, a number of them in CS2 made sense but the frequency of it was somewhat infuriating. Minor complaint, especially since I know we have two games to go, but still.
Lack of Character Development
I feel like, maybe besides Rean and a select few characters (Emma, maybe Jusis and Sara a bit?), there was not much character development in CS2 which was a let down. Plot definitely took precedence, but I felt that was somewhat repetitive and mediocre which is a shame haha.
Friendly, Bespeckled Academic-types
Professor Alba was obvious, I caught that one practically from when we first saw him. Joachim I didn't suspect because I thought "there's no way they could do it again!", and barely figured it out just before they actually revealed it. I didn't suspect Big Bear Grimwood because he was so chill and SURELY they wouldn't do the glasses thing again. Little did I know.
The SECOND, and I mean the SECOND I saw Instructor Thomas, I had my eye on him. And his last name is Lysander? LYSANDER? Could you come up with a more villainous sounding last name? And he's always smiling! Like come on. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. If you're going to fool me a third time, EXTRA shame on me. I wasn't having it. I was convinced it was him.
...Do I at least get half points?
FINAL THOUGHTS
Honestly, while CS2 had some really cool moments (especially right at the end, like the Ironblood reveal and the Osborne reveal), this was probably my least favorite Trails game so far. CS1 had its own problems but I feel it ended with a decent setup, but CS2 bungled it a little bit IMO. It's still a really good game, but just the weakest of the Trails games I've played. I'm also not nearly as attached to Class 7 after two games as I was the majority of the Sky cast/the SSS. That said, there are two more games to play so maybe that will change! Plus, it sounds like we are going to see the Crossbell cast next game, which I am EXTREMELY excited for. I will probably cry tears of joy when I see Tio in 3D. I'm interested to see where the plot with Rean goes after this point, what the deal with Vita and Ouroboros is, and what Osborne's goal is, what the HELL is Thomas up to and where the hell the supposed TWO Sept-Terrions of Erebonia?? All in all, lots more to look forwards to!

Before you call me crazy, hear me out:
The Prequel Trilogy was released from 1999-2005, the same span of years as Gold and Silver’s generation. In the prequel trilogy, we learn about Anakin, a Jedi who was deemed “The Chosen One”, Jedis are usually affiliated with the color Green (and Blue), What color is Scyther? Green!
Thought the duration of the Prequels, Anakin is good, fighting for the Old Republic and being one of the strongest Jedi, however, after being denied the rank of master (along with some other events such as the passing of his mother), a dark side of Anakin was formed inside of him, thus starting his transition to the Dark Side of the Force. Now, what does this have to do with Scyther? Well, its shiny form has red (pinker) accents on his neck and legs, and Red is the color most associated with the Sith (Think Darth Vader), thus signifying the Sith is taking over Anakin until he becomes one with them.
Now, in the last film of the Prequels: Revenge of the Sith, Anakin has betrayed the Jedi for the Sith, and this becomes apparent during Order 66 when he kills younglings with his lightsaber. This action and his overall discord with Obi-Wan Kenobi due to his newfound hatred for the Jedi cause them to duel on the fiery Planet Mustafar, with Obi-Wan leaving Anakin to die after slicing his libs off at the end of a lava pool, causing him to almost burn to death with no way to escape. However, Anakin is saved by Darth Sidious and is rebuilt into the Sith Cyborg Darth Vader. Now, what does this have to do with Scyther? When traded holding a metal coat, Scyther evolves into Scizor, a cyborg-like bug who is colored red, the same color as the Sith.
When evolving, Scyther goes from fast (Base 105 speed) to slow (Scizor has 65 speed). Similarly, Anakin was a fast, agile Jedi, but once he was imprisoned in the Darth Vader suit, he was a much slower cyborg. Anakin also admitted to not liking sand, and Scyther is 4x weak to rock, which can be connected as sand is a granulated rock (However Scyther is immune to ground, which all sand-based moves are typed). Scizor is 4x weak to fire, which was the primary cause of Anakin going into the Darth Vader suit after his fight with Obi-Wan. Scyther and Scizor also share the same Base Start Total, similarly to how Anakin spent 23 years as a Jedi and 23 years as Darth Vader according to the lore. As a final tidbit of connection, Darth Vader turned good right before he died in Return of the Jedi. This can be connected to Scizor’s shiny color, which is green, the color of the Jedi.
Now how did I come to this conclusion? I am a huge fan of both franchises, and the scythes Scyther posses reminded me of lightsabers as a child. Now a college-bound student, I have connected the dots and ready to share this with the community. If there is anything I missed, please comment below.

3. Hal-Ca is a great lyric writer, in this interview he explain the meaning of "Fiction" lyrics, and she amaze me, her way of thinking is really beyond her age.
4. I knew some of us think that Hal-Ca vocal in "ASIDE" album is not real, which I never agree, but in today performance we can hear clearly, it was her very vocal.

Hi all! I'm hoping to get a black button up to throw on top of my outfits as a layering piece. So definitely on the casual side. But there are SO MANY options on the site that I'm a little overwhelmed with what is best.
I have the utility shirt in a light blue (2xs) from a few seasons past, and love the feel/fit of it. It's also the perfect "oversized" fit on me (5'1, 110 lbs) and not too long. Wondering if you girlies have any others to suggest, maybe something that is a little crisper, if that makes sense? And perhaps doesn't wrinkle like crazy? TIA!!

I've been playing Necromancer with my friend. We both went without knowing much. We've been playing for about a day but then he went to work and i was left alone. Didn't want to explore the game without him so i decided to rerun to the same point as a rogue and rogue item drops were 10 times better than necromancer's. So for example as necromancer i was playing and had roughly everything equipped blue when my friend druid was all yellow. I tought that i was just unlucky... When i started playing rogue i had everything yellow too. Every special enemy, every chest, everything dropping was mostly yellow and gave me DEX and sometimes INT as a stat(if it did give me stats) and very rarely anything else. Where necromancer's item drops gave me DEX, STR and WP but almost no INT. Then we went further in the story. I was still playing rogue since he felt more powerful. Then my friend left again so i thought "yeah, i know how the game works now so i'll go be necromancer again and make a worthwhile build" and so i did... BUT! All my item drops are still blue. Is it some kind of handicap because necromancer is "OP"? Im already the same level as my rogue who had like 6 legendaries drop whereas necromancer only had 2 and some of my items are still just blue.

Hi there!
I currently have 2 colbalt blue discus and a pigeon blood in a 75 gallon tank as well as a German blue ram pair.
My 2 larger discus are eating like pigs (about 3 inches) the 2.5 inch one is really shy and I attempted to feed it with a pair of long tweezers but it just hides. The other 2 will practically eat out of my hand.
Is it possible that the smallest discus is being bullied by the largest one and won’t eat? Could it be the rams being over boisterous that is making him nervous?
I have a 15 gallon tank that just has shrimp in it that I’m considering moving him to for a few weeks to try and fatten him up!

So I have been a proud owner of a few pairs of G933's over the years but once again they are falling to the loose power switch that cuts out audio to one or both ears. Looking to upgrade and have been spending the past few days looking at headphones and trying to make sense of all the terms I don't know.
So many conflicting reports on things and I get it's all situational. Tried to find local ones to actually put on my head before I spend $2-300 on stuff and go "ew icky" because it fits on my head funny and I don't like it. I love my G933s and have a Blue Yeti USB mic I am happy enough with, and debated getting another Logitech if the microphones were removable/hidable like the G933's. Instead of trying to keep searching other reviews I will just ask here myself.

me forgiving my ex for abandoning our family doesn't give him permission to come back into our lives, but it does cradle me in peace. i'm not bound by it my chains are broken. it lets me not worry about it. reminds me my cage is predominately made of my thoughts, and i can try again daily even multiple times a day. keeps me hopeful but doesn't let me down. keeps me present and loving. free.

My GF (22F) an international student and I (22M) got into it today on the phone. My Mom and I took her stuff and mine from our college campus and drove back here to Chicago where we let her stay and store her stuff here. She told us that sh'd come back around early July to take it. Now, she's asking me to ship her stuff to her and she'll pay me for it. My issue is that she told us multiple times that she'd come down to pick it up. So, I'm like wtf why are u gonna just leave me and my Mom with your stuff like that out of the blue?
So, when asking me If I could ship her stuff and I said no I'd feel uncomfortable because she had claimed so many times that she'd pick it up. Her excuse was that she couldn't currently afford to fly from NY to CHI in a round trip at the moment. Her stuff is still here and was giving me crap for not doing it claiming that we've been together for so long but I personally feel like my time and my Mom's was disrespected. Am I in the wrong for not wanting to send it to her stuff to NY when she initially told us something different? I think this is very disrespectful on her part, but she was extremely sorry, but I ain't buying it.
TL;DR GF of 4 years changed her mind about coming down to get her stuff from my Mom and I's house because it's financially hard for her as an international student to afford another round flight from NY to CHI now and I refuse to ship her stuff based on the initial plan she told me

TLDR: 6 month old mixed reef. Zero nitrates, caused green hair algea.
Full disclosure, I had reeftanks for about 15 years, worked in a lfs, commercial maintenance etc. Been out of the hobby for about 10 years. Setup a new tank about 6mo ago. My first time using dry rocks.
Tank is a 25 cube with 5g sump, no skimmer, refugium, carbon and reef diaper. Livestock is 3 fish, 15+ corals. Weekly 25 - 30% water changes using RedSea blue bucket.
For the last 2 months I've had horrible green hair algea. Chalked it up to 'the ugly phase' Fought it weekly with manual removal, gfo, water changes, pods. CuC etc. Parameters looked great (I thought). Nothing worked. Corals were ok, but not growing.
Finally dumped my ego and asked my lfs. He clued me in that my water was too clean. Shut the lights off for 3 days, added a few large turbo snails and a pencil urchin. Started feeding 3xdaily, added neoNitro.
Boom, tank is glorious 1 week later. Almost zero gha, zoas are going like mad.
My old ideas of running SPS tanks with 0 nitrate and 0 phosphate weren't helpful. Now at 10 nitrate and .01 phosphate and things look better.

I love using plain Greek yogurt as a healthier substitute for sour cream, crema and a sandwich spraad. However, often times after 2 weeks of purchase, it seems that greenish blue mold appears along the lining of the container when I take off the top. The yogurt itself, though seems fine. It doesn't smell, it isn't curdled and it tastes the same when I purchased it and the color isn't off. There's no mold in the yogurt either but I'm not sure of the effects it has on the yogurt with mold along the container. If the container has mold does that mean the yogurt is off?

I gather that the main concern with these guys is diet. I think I have a decent population of pods and other critters, so I’m wondering if my other fish would present a problem.
The tank is a 265, set up for about 10 months, with at least a couple hundred pounds of live rock. The fish I would be most concerned about are those that hang out at the rock base, like my flame hawk and starry blenny. I also have a dickhead lemonpeel angel of about 3” who seems to bother everyone for a while after they’re added.

Getting parts for my first build, I need to choose between the only 2 good options I have for ssd which are the sn570 blue FROM WD (gen 3) and the UD90 from Silicon Power (gen 4) both are 2tb and cost the same, ud90 has 1200 tbw and sn570 900 but that's not really meaningful.
In terms of performance they are equal, talking about gaming loads, when one wins it's by less than a second, never even a 1s difference. Thermals are good in both, around 70 and always less than 80.
Is buying gen 4 worth it because it'll support future things that I'm not aware of rn? Because DirectStorage works on both so that's not a point for gen 4

As a long time Zelda fan who has been playing the franchise for a very long time, from the NES to the Switch, a part of me really misses the old classic Zelda style of gameplay. I'm of course talking about the old classic traditional Zelda games like A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, etc.
I really miss the old classic Zelda days where you play the game in a linear fashion. I really miss going through long Dungeons with tons of rooms and puzzle to explore, while also having a ton of treasure chests to find and collect. The Shrines in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are really good and all, but they are pretty nothing more than just "mini dungeons" with about 1 or 2 puzzles to solve.
I absolutely love the massive open world gameplay of both BotW and TotK. It is very beautiful to look at, and it is extremely fun just to explore the massive breath taking land of Hyrule. That said, as much as I absolutely love the beautiful massive open world gameplay of both BotW and TotK, a old classic part of me deep down really misses the simplicity and linear design of the past Zelda games, progressing through the game one at the time.
Another thing that I have been thinking about is Link's iconic "Green Tunic" design. For a while now, I've been thinking a lot as to whether or not Link's old iconic signature Green Hero Tunic design is now "obsolete" in favor of his new modern Blue Champion Tunic design.
Don't get me wrong, I really do love the new Blue Tunic design, especially for beautiful breath taking open world games like BotW and TotK. In fact, the Blue Tunic is absolutely one of my most favorite designs of the Zelda franchise.
As cool as the Blue Tunic is, a part of me deep inside really misses the old classic Green Tunic design, with games like Oracles of Seasons/Ages, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Hyrule Warriors being my absolute favorite Green Tunic designs in the whole Zelda franchise.
