Anyone else find it very bizzare that Tom hasn't said one word about Padma leaving?
He's promoted some event he's doing on IG, answered a bunch of Q's on twitter about why Ali went home, Alain Ducasse etc..
The only thing he said is "nope" if he is also leaving the show
Seems WEIRD to me. Meanwhile Gail, guest judges and practically every contestant has expressed their gratitude to Padma.

Imagine being S1 and autolocking Your main hero with retribution, everything goes well, and the only thing that the team lacks now is ab exp laner,
But then all of a fucking sudden S5, without any earlier say, proceeds to pick retribution, fucking up the entire game if neither of You adjusts, not to mention that the team comp would've been okay.
It's so damn annoying that it happens, especially with such shitty matchmaking that's basically useless unless You have a 5 man team

I’m 24, second born, and living with my sister. I love her so much and she’s my best friend, we tell each other almost everything. Though, my sister and I are very different in personality (she’s very outgoing and I’m pretty introverted). I believe since I graduated college I’ve proven to be very responsible for myself. I’m bipolar but over the last 6 years I worked a lot on myself to be stable and not over reactive (though I was a bit of a mess from 18-21 because I was figuring myself out, but honestly not any more problematic then my sister was at that age). However, recently my sister told me that in my parents will meeting that they stated she was going to be primary in everything (estate, care for them when their older and so on) when I’d been told it was going to be split even. My mom even told her not to tell me, she seems to do that a lot recently and it’s really starting to bother me. I’ve always felt that my parents compared us throughout childhood (even was told my father said she was his favorite a few days ago, he apparently said that when she was 11 and I was 8) and continue to do so now, I feel like they still see me as a “problem child” (though I’m not sure why I even got that label, always got good grades and never partied or snuck out). In college, I’d drive 3 hours to visit every other weekend and help out around the farm just to make my mom happy. Honestly sacrificed a lot of social events to do those trips. Now I still call every few weeks to see how my parents are doing, never ask for anything except advice and for the most part keep emotions to myself because I don’t want them to ever worry. I’ve always felt my parents had a stronger bond with my sister (though they always denied it) but now I feel like that’s being validated the older we get. I constantly feel like my opinions are shut down, the people I date will never match up, and that no matter what I do my parents will never see me as being on the same level as my sister. We even recently decided to have our step dad adopt us and the three of them decided to have that discussion without me at a reunion I couldn’t attend because of work even though we’d planned to wait and talk about it prior in July. He and my sister had also planned a daughter father trip like 3 months ago I was originally excluded from, but because my mom had never been to that country before i suddenly was finally invited. A constant thought of mine honestly is that I’m just the collateral of the adoption. I feel like I’m considered the loser of the family and practically invisible even though I really try to be part of the family, show how much I value and love them. They always seem to need me when they are going through stuff but I don’t feel like I can express my feelings to them. I just don’t feel loved or trusted. I guess I just don’t understand why I get treated this way but it makes me feel worthless and unlovable, like I’ll never be enough for the people I love the most. I’m really trying not to be resentful but the more secrets that come out (that my sister was told not to tell) really hurt and i feel like the outcast. Am I silly for feeling this way? And also how do you deal with these feelings? I just feel like my mental health is slowly tearing down again because of these feelings which is a bummer because I thought I knew where I stood.

I 17 F go on a walk everyday multiple times a day. Yesterday on my walk a man stopped me to interduce himself. He mentioned how he sees me walking everyday sometimes with a guitar and ask what that's about. I explained that I take guitar lessons and I like to walk everywhere. This sparks a conversation that lasts about a hour. This man that I had never spoken to knew where I lived, that I was Jewish, that I lived alone, that I had a dog, that I worked nearby, that I only work nights and he also mentioned noticing my friend and I following a stray dog at 1 am a week prior. I'm autistic and take longer to process things as well as pick up on social cues. So I didn't realize how weird this was until I was talking to a friend about it. Like I knew it was weird but it didn't quite sink in how scary weird it was until later. Another thing that was odd about this interaction was him casualy mentioning he does mushrooms, acid and smokes weed. He wanted to know if that bothered me. I lied and said it didn't bother me and that I smoke with my friends (I was kinda uncomfortable at this point lol) after that he talked alot about his ex and said I was cute. Which isn't that bad people tend to assume I'm older because I'm tall, have a job and live alone. What really made me concerned about this whole situation was when I let my dog out to go potty around 11:30 pm, I saw him in the street near my house. He lives near by so not too crazy but still odd. I can't tell if this guy is kinda awkward and has a crush or if he's a stalker. I've had online stalkers in the past, never in person though. I don't think I can or should contactauthorities over one interaction. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do?

Hive like rashes appearing on legs and arms, since 4 days ago. Haven’t faded much since appearing, I think they flair up after eating but unsure if there is a direct correlation. Very itchy. Am careful not to eat nuts, majority of food is home cooked and no nuts are in house.

Summary:
I decided to carry my 1 year old cat to the vet's office in my car's trunk, he ran away somewhere next to the office and I can't find him anymore.
I will explain what happened here in a very detailed form. Perhaps these details can help me get better advice. Prerequisites:
My male cat is 1 years old and not neutered. He is domestic short hair cat and was born to my female cat. I also keep one of his brothers from the same litter.
We live in suburban town in Azerbaijan. We have a house with private property like all of our neighbors. We have big open terrace and that's where we keep our cats. So we don't allow them inside of our house. Our cats live in terrace and they are free to walk wherever they want . It is common in suburban places to keep cats like this in my country.
Before this my cat twice left the house in spring (for 2 days and 3 days). I was worried a little but knew he will be back, and he was back.
How I lost him:
Last week my cat had swollen cheek. He was sleeping for most of the day and was very passive. I've decided to take him to the vet office about 4-5 kms from home.
None of my cats have ever left the house in a car, so I don't even have a pet carrier. I wanted to put him in a cardboard box, but he left that box before I 've put him in the car. I decided put him in the trunk of my sedan. Now I realize that it was extremely stupid idea :( . Trunks are dark, noisy and make cats very stressful and frightened.
During the ride my cat was meowing most of the time, but I thought it is only 5 minutes ride. I parked only few meters from vet's office entrance. Office was just next to a very noisy road. When I opened trunk my cat was sitting in the corner. I knew he might try to run but vet's office was close and I decided to take him there with my hands.
As soon as I grabbed him he tried to escape and I tried to hold him. Exactly at office entrance he scratched my hands and escaped. He ran to my car and stayed under my car for a few seconds. Since road was busy and noisy he decided to run away to someone's yard. I chased him, he went to some bush and hid there. But unfortunately there was a female cat with kittens who attacked him (or was just curious). Then my cat left the bush, climbed to the tree and jumped to another yard. We have high stone fences between properties in my country. I couldn't see him and quickly jumped over fence but couldn't see him anymore. I looked at all corners, trees, bushes, hidden places in the 2nd yard but couldn't notice him. Then I immediately ran to the 3rd neighboring yard and made some unsuccessful search. I searched these 3 yards one more time. I couldn't search more since it was all private properties there.
So I returned about 2 hours later the same day and searched these 3 yards one more time. 4th neighbor didn't allow to search his property. That's all that happened on Thursday, the day I last saw him.
How I tried to find him later:

• Since during daytime cats usually sleep and it is quite noisy I decided to search by nights. Made search for 2-3 hours between 3-6 am for the last two nights. I was just walking on the road close to the yards I lost him and calling his name. Entering properties without permit during night is illegal of course. I usually walk for 10-15 meters, call his name for a few minutes and continue doing it. For now I was able only to attract some stray/neighbor cats. I also bring wet food that my cats eat with me in a small open container.
• This night I brought his brother in a carrier (should've bought it before :(). He was meowing constantly. I hoped my lost cat could hear him and find us. I walked with him in a carrier for about 30 minutes. No success.
• I made a sponsored facebook/instagram post on Friday which has all necessary information (pics/phone numbe description) and targets area in 1 mile radius to the place I lost him. It has ~20 reactions, ~20 comments for 3 days.
• We have only few facebook/instagram groups and pages here. I reached them but could create only one post in one of them.
• Made some A4 flyers with picture of my cat, my phone number and reward promise. Will glue them to the walls and columns in the close area today.

Some specifics of my country and town that make search harder:

• We don't have any animal shelters here
• People usually don't care much about cats. They think it is crazy trying to find a simple domestic cat. Especially for almost 30 years old man.
• All private properties have high stone fences from all 4 sides and high steel doors. You can only see top of the trees in property and second flooroof.
• Most of the people don't allow to enter their property.

Any ideas what else should I do? I now it is my fault and I can't eat, sleep, work for the last ~70 hours. Feeling so terrible right now. Will appreciate any advice. Sorry for my English, I am not a native speaker.

As title suggests, I'm currently on act 3, just met a character called Meshif that started talking about deckard Cain and that he's waiting for me but I come to find Lorath.

Just wanted some input.

As the title suggests: Our group has been playing TI4 for roughly two years now. We've always had a great time and have acquired so many people that playing 6-player-games is no issue.
We don't play online, but in person.
Saturday, we're going to try PoK ...again... We've played it last year two times and although it was a nice experience overall, we didn't get hooked and went back to base game.
I am trying to figure out why we didn't like it as much basically so you can say "this is just your impression and you're objectively wrong with your assesment" since I assume that has to be a reason all of you prefer PoK over base game.
What I liked: - New Factions (Awesome!) - New Techs (Useful!) - New Objectives (Scoreable!)
What I am unsure about: - Exploration. I know, it sounds weird, but to me it felt as if the exploration adds a luck factor to the game that makes it harder to plan out your rounds in advance and thus have an overarching strategy. E.g.: If I pick trade and we're trying to become neighbours, that effort can turn out to be less useful due to what you can explore on planets before: You don't need me anymore. For me, trade is one of the greatest factors in the game, making deals with that strategy card is really awesome. Am I wrong here? Do you feel different about the necessity of trade? - Agent, Commanders, Heros. It seems as if these make the game a little "bloated". It is just so much to keep in mind at once that it seems to be really intransparent whose on their way to victory and who needs to be stopped. Is this just a problem of getting used to all the new components?
- More self-sufficient gameplay: It seems as if players are more likely to be able to score by just sitting in there slice since they can find crucial victory points due to exploration and relics.
- Titans and PDS: I already hate PDS (II) in base game. Titans make many of them. I don't like that.
I hope you can prove me wrong and I can jump onto the PoK hype train and finally understand what I've been missing. This isn't even a joke.
Maybe it's just the fact that they meet in person, but I thought that the general emphasize on intransparent plans and luck is the reason SCPT 2022 finals are that much less enjoyable to watch compared to the 2020 finals, where Matt and Hunter were able to follow the player's plans and it didn't appear that random.

Okay, so I’m a little confused. My (21 F) best friend (21F) always kisses me when we’re both drunk. She knows I’m bi and never tries to kiss me while sober or anything like that. It’s never like a full make out session or anything, but it’ll usually be a few pecks on the lips. She’s straight and has a boyfriend, but has mentioned being bicurious in the past (not in a suggestive way towards me or anything, but she’s mentioned it a couple of times in passing).
She and I recently went out with one of our guy friends who I have a crush on. She not only kissed me in front of him while we were both wasted, but she actually sent a selfie of us kissing to him. She’s kissed me a couple of times in front of her boyfriend too, and he doesn’t seem to mind.
I don’t really know how I feel. I’m not mad at her or anything like that, and I would like to clarify she’s definitely not violating me or anything like that because I always I agree to it. I love her a lot, but I’m definitely not romantically attracted to her. I’m rarely attracted to women and she’s not my type. I only kiss her because I’m drunk enough where I don’t really care either way and I also don’t want to hurt her feelings by saying no. It’s honestly my fault for not having the self-respect to say no sooner, but I kind of didn’t know if this behavior is normal between girl best friends or not so I just went with it.
I guess I’m looking for advice on how to start saying no without hurting her because I really do value our friendship. I’m also open to hearing any guesses about why she does this. I’m kinda assuming it’s an attention thing, but idk. Please try not to judge me too harshly, I’m a little embarrassed to talk about this and I didn’t really know who to ask for advice.😭

I am looking for languages to learn just for the dopamine sake of it (yes I have no hobbies and yes I have to go touch grass), and my god.

• Tried Java Spring. Tried to test my simplest application, and I run into error: https://i.imgur.com/CWlbTVZ.png It is, three minutes in, and I ran into dependency error. Bravo.
• Tried NodeJS. Good luck if you update anything.
• Tried Rust. Crate is nice overall, but you have to reinvent so many wheels to make it subpar with a framework or GoLang. From a copy paste, you need to reinvent these for a login backend:
  • figure out your own sessions (keeping in mind all those vulnerabilities) figure out your own password hashing (don't forget about proper KDFs, parameter upgrades over the years, etc) figure out logging. It's much harder than it seems, for example there is no foot gun-free way to get request IDs in your logs with tracing. Even basics like "how do I make sure that all 500s in my views are logged" aren't covered yet, you have to write your own glue for that. figure out database (there are sqlx and diesel, but they both have their problems and won't hold your hand) choose your templating engine figure out your approach to forms finally write your own view for logins, being mindful of timing attacks oh and don't forget about CSRFs in your forms also don't forget to reset the session after login
• Tried Python. Something feels... wrong. I am working with FastAPI as a part of my job, but something feels wrong with it. I dont feel like actually coding. I dont know why. And, Django is just a config simulator.
• Tried Kotlin. Same issues as spring.

help :( please help me to find a language that's dependency managament is not total aids, and I dont have to reinvent things. I dont care if it is fun or not, I just need distraction. <3

I haven’t seen my dad physically in over a year. I last talked to him in February for his birthday. He forgot mine in March. The number called and said they were a friend of his for a couple of years and were worried about him. I’ve been worried about him for years. My brother overdosed and died at age 25 in 2009. After that he fucked up his marriage by cheating on her, he did the same to my mom years before. So she left him. I lived with him for a while and he just fell into rage and anger, so I moved out to better my own life and get it together.
Our relationship devolved horribly when we lived together, it continued to deteriorate from stagnation. He never listened to me about his health as he’s type 2 diabetic. Last year he had a stroke he told me because he was doing “something he shouldn’t be doing”. He got lucky and recovered. I tried to take him to doctors appointments but he blew me off or barely paid attention when we were at them.
I began having severe panic attacks and became non functioning in my own life. I was consumed with paranoia about him dying, because I’m terrified of having to care for him full time. I have this fear because I was end of life care for my mom who died from brain cancer in 2013. It was horrible Andy traumatizing. He didn’t help obviously since they’d been divorced for years.
I began to go to therapy and worked hard on myself to recover and begin to build my life up. I called less and less because I couldn’t be seeing his negativity and victim mentality. He’s always saying he “wants nothing from no one”. When you’re in the room with him it’s all about his problems and how everyone is taking advantage of him. He’s called me horrible names.
So naturally I’ve distanced myself from him, because being around him makes me want to die and give up. So I got a call today from someone who knows him whom I’ve never met. They said he looks really bad, his diabetes is out of control and she stated he was addicted to drugs. She won’t tell me what kind or anything. She seems to think that if someone can approach him with empathy and kindness that it will somehow help him admit that he needs help and go to rehab. He is a veteran, so maybe we could get him into that program. But I don’t know that I want anything to do with this. Just in the span of the afternoon when she called me to this morning at 3 AM, I am feeling how I did when I was non-functional. I have worked very hard to put my life together, and I love my father, but he hasn’t really been a functional parent to me in many years.
And to be honest, I don’t think I can approach him with empathy or understanding at all. All I feel towards him is rage and anger and frustration for all of the bullshit that I’ve gone through on my own, all he knows how to do is make things worse for me. I know that his addiction likely comes from deep self hatred , and I’m sure that my brother’s death was the catalyst for most of this.
She also stated that he seems scared because he had had someone around who was violent. She stated that she had gotten into a physical fight with this person and ended up in the hospital after being punched in the face I tried to gain some insight into what exactly he was involved in, but she was very vague. It did not seem to me like she really wanted anything from me. She said that it might be helpful to simply put my eyes on him and see how poorly he was doing. I asked her what she expected of me , and if she really thought I would be capable of doing anything to help him? She said I’m not actually required to do anything, but if it was her family, she would want to know which is why she looked me up on the Internet. I don’t doubt anything that she is saying, it all makes sense, and sounds truthful.
The fact that he hasn’t spoken to me in months, he was absent when I recently had a cancer scare and had to go through two surgeries, it’s just, it makes a lot of sense to me. So now I’m over here. Just debating with myself if there’s anything I can do to help him, or if I even should. I cannot allow him to derail my life, but even thinking about being around him, is sending me into almost complete panic .
I really feel like if he does not get help he is going to die. But I don’t know that I am capable of giving him the help he needs. If the drugs do not kill him, he will likely have another stroke. And he has no one else because he’s driven everyone away. My entire family struggles with addiction, I am the only one who does not. And it’s because of watching all of my cousins and aunts and uncles and my dad and my brother lose their shit to it.
I am so angry, I am exhausted. We never actually had a disagreement or a conversation where I told him I didn’t want him in my life anymore, I just stopped calling one day. And he stopped calling me. It’s horrible. I miss him all the time, it feels like I don’t have a family anymore and I’m just out here raw dogging life by myself. I have very good friends in my life, but many of them do not understand where I’m coming from. I feel like a broken record talking about him all the time. Even in therapy .
I never really had a need to come on here before, because I had to read it myself into thinking that his drug addiction that initially caused his first stroke, was a one off. How ignorant of me. Likely he’s been doing drugs this entire time I feel like I am watching him, ruin his life and implode. And now there’s this violent person in his life? I don’t know what I’m supposed to do about that, now I don’t want to go to his house at all because I don’t wanna get in the middle of whatever the fuck that is.
This is fucking crazy, I can’t live like this. But I can’t live either because all I do is worry about him. Even when things are going relatively well, all I can do is think about my dad and whether or not he’s OK. I no longer leave my cell phone on because I am afraid to get a phone call that he is dead. And I am also afraid to get a call that he is alive like I did today. Before I even answered the phone I knew that it wasn’t a Robo call . I knew that I had something to do with him and that it wasn’t good.
I can’t remember the last time she did anything for me that brought joy or positivity to my life. But I think I am still holding onto who he used to be when I was a child.
I’m so lost .

I’m so sick of doing all of the housework.
I’ve lived with my boyfriend, now husband, for over 3 years and his lack of being able to complete basic chores has been an issue and source of arguing since the entire time we’ve shared a house.
This is bullshit. I grew up with a SAHM who was did nothing but complain about cooking/cleaning/gardening/grocery shopping/household management while my dad did very little to help. They love each other, but she clearly felt used and like she was in a never ending cycle of work whilst my dad could at least get home and relax.
I never wanted that for me. I worked hard in school and uni, I got a good job, then I went and messed it up by falling for my best friend who it turns out is incredibly lazy. It’s unfair. We both work full time, we both contribute 50/50 to the mortgage and savings, and yet I’m stuck with 95% of household chores and management.
I don’t get any break. I get home from work, I cook while he lounges/plays guitaworks out, we eat, I do dishes, we go to bed. On the weekends I vacuum and clean and garden. It feels unfair. I’m not a SAHM. I work a hard, emotionally draining job that involves a lot of overtime, being exposed to dangerous situations/people and being verbally abused often. I have no time for self care to ward off burnout because all of my spare time on weekdays is dedicated to housework.
I have tried a chore list/chart, I’ve tried talking to him, he doesn’t get it. He procrastinates any task I ask of him. Example: he broke a door 8 months ago and despite weekly reminding he still hasn’t fixed it. My dad came over yesterday to do it. The light in our living room and bedroom went out around 3 months ago and he changed the bulb 3 days ago after I called my brother to do it (I’m 7 months pregnant and not keen on ladders right now).
My husband is currently mad at me because I asked him to do last nights dishes. He’s supposed to cook and do dishes on weekends because he says it’s too much for him after work. I cooked last night and tonight because we need to save money and he always orders takeout. All he had to do was last nights dishes, but at 4pm I finished cleaning the bathroom and and I emerge to find that he’s still playing guitar and watching tv. I told him to do the dishes, that I am sick of asking him to do chores, that he should do them unprompted before doing his leisure stuff. And he’s mad because I didn’t ask nicer.
I am sick of being his mothesupervisor of chores! I am sick of asking. He says I should ask for help when I need it. It’s not help, though! It’s his set of chores! Why am I stuck with the bulk of the housework when I work and pay just as much as him?!
I feel like I’ve failed. I’m having a daughter in 3 months and i wanted to set a good example for her. I wanted her to grow up thinking that we live in a world of equality, with a mum who works and parents who split chores evenly. I didn’t want her growing up with this 1950s housewife mentality like previous generations did. But that mentality is so heavily ingrained in society, I’ll never escape it and neither will my child. At least in the 50s women weren’t expected to work. Now we have to work AND be housewives.
