Summary: mum passed away years ago, lived with grandma who threw us out, lived with dad, then moved to temp accommodation and now living in a home. I became my sister legal guardian when she was 16.
My sister (19)has been going through deep depression. She lived with my dad last year, because we couldn’t cope living with each other and she needed a parent. My dad is financially stable and can help her( he’s a maths teacher with a tutoring school) but moved back in with me because she was feeling depressed etc.
She didn’t make it to uni, I have been trying to help her through her depression whilst dealing with my own life. I recently got a full time job after being self employed straight from university.
It’s been a rollercoaster, not going to school, school calling me whilst I’m at work. Last month she cried about having no parents etc, so I finally decided to give her money for the holiday she had been asking me for, but I’d didn’t ask her to pay me back. I partly blame musket because she wasn’t in this state prior to living with my dad. I advised her to go to the same therapy organisation I went to and she has been going.
It’s been difficult in the house. I understand depression can make you neglect yourself. I constantly remind her to wash up after heralded etc.
Now recently we had our first argument because she didn’t take the dog to pre and the house stank of pee. I tell her several times to take him out a few times a day, but she doesn’t and I come home to the house smelling of pre and I’m the one cleaning it up.
After this she said she doesn’t feel safe here, I’ve traumatised her and her therapist even asked if there is anywhere she can go and that she’s already doing so much in the house. All I ask is for her to clean after herself especially as last year we had a fly issue because she left fruit in her room and the cupboards were filled with ants which I had to clean up. Minor things break in the house and I repair it. It’s hard because I’m on my own, and yes I have a supportive partner but it’s long distance. She also said I caused her depression and I’m making her feel suicidal. I was shocked and hurt as I had been actively trying to help her with the depression.
My elder sister who didn’t speak to me for 14 years because of my dad used to give me sweets if I told against her and would hit her ( her own words) called me and was quite rude. She always disrespects me and I’m tired of it especially because she hardly sees or helps my sister. When I went to uni I forgot to bring back my old phone for my younger sister and they both harassed mr saying do you know what it’s like to have no parts at and all your friends on the bus have phones your Decius etc. I was really hurt because I had just started uni and my elder sister didn’t even wish me good luck, that was the first time she texted me in years.
Anyway I’m waffling now.
I am walking on eggshells now. The atmosphere in the home is awkward. I understand she’s going through a lot but I think it’s best if she lives with my sister after her exams because this situation is affecting me and caused me to relapse on my ED. Plus I don’t think it’s best for her to be living with someone who has traumatised her.
I realise I have been treating her too nicely which people have already mentioned but I just wanted her to have a decent life especially because she only has me and she’s going through depression but nothin I do is good enough. I am even paying for her tutoring, give her extra money for clothes etc because she can only work part time, include her on holidays with my partner and cook meals and listen to her. Hey everyone! First of all thanks for spending time helping me! I've spent the last few hours scouring the internet trying to figure out what's the best scooter for my needs.
I currently have a Xiaomi m365 but my commute needs are changing drastically. I will need to commute 13 miles each way via smooth-ish asphalt trails mostly flat and with long straight stretches to the bus stop and then carry the thing in the bus. This will be done twice a week minimum. I want to take advantage of the long straight stretches to go faster so I don't spend an eternity to go from home to the bus and vice versa. My budget is around $2k tops. My research ended up with the Segway P100S or the Mantis King GT. Thoughts? Suggestions? Any other models/brands to consider?

I’m still seeing my situationaship, despite moving away. I only see him when I’m in town and he’s always down for it.
Recently I messaged him and asked what he was up to. He said he was with friends. Idk why, but I’ve been sensing that he might be seeing other people or in a relationship. So I replied “girlfriend?”. He just said yes . I asked if he was serious and if so why he didn’t tell me he was seeing someone and he said yes and he’ll talk more.
I’ve asked him before and he said he wasn’t seeing anyone and he would always let me know if he got in a relationship. I’m not sure if he said that to make me jealous, was being sarcastic and was telling the truth. We just talked about meeting up a few days ago.
Last time i saw him, he was acting different. It was fun, but he was lying to me about something.
He told me he was going to be working until midnight. I messaged him when I was in town earlier and he asked where I was and to let him know when I was done hanging with friends. I told him when and then he told me to call him. He said he was 30 minutes away for a “work thing”. It wasn’t adding up then because I used to work at the job he’s at now and it’s not located in the city he was said to be in. He then started a random conversation that was off topic and I began to sense maybe he was on something.
He messaged me when he got home which was quick. He was already naked when I got in and when we began fooling around, it looked like he was high out of his mind. I never saw him like that before. He seemed to be on another planet. I asked if he was fine and if he did anything before I got there and he said alcohol and weed. I’m not someone who’s familiar with drugs, but it seemed like it could’ve been something more than that. I dated a guy who did substances before but it was hard drugs and he’d only get extremely horny and affectionate while on those.
This guy was also very affectionate and did stuff he’s never done before to me. It’s like he couldn’t keep his hands off of me and didn’t want to stop. While it was great, this was all unlike him. I sensed maybe he could’ve been on Molly but he said he wasn’t when I asked . He said he drank wine, but the bottle still had a lot in it when he offered it to me. I know the two can make you horny, but it was so extreme with how he was acting, it seemed like it was something else.
He was vaping when I got there and said what he had wasn’t strong.
He couldn’t finish at all, and would go limp every now and then , but he kept trying to fool around non stop for like 4 hours. He’d say how amazing I was and he even just wanted to cuddle. I asked if he drank and smoke at work because he was too intoxicated when I got there and he said he had dinner with friends and worked earlier.
None of this is adding up. While I had a good time, I’m wondering what he was lying about & why ? I always wonder if he’s seeing other women and if that could’ve been the case ?
We talked about seeing each other again. We talked in the morning and he said it was fine . He said he would be off that day and I told him what time I would be free. He just responded ok. Then I sexted him and said I couldn’t wait. He never responded. I was waiting for him to reply and it got closer to the time I said I would be free. He had only sent me a meme on another app we’re friends on.
I messaged him and he said he was in bed, I asked if he wanted to still meet up and he took forever to respond. He said he was too high to drive. I said I would come to him and he just left me on read for about an hour then said I could come. He said he fell asleep.
When I got there it was the same experience, but this time he didn’t want to do much to me. I mostly did all the work and he still couldn’t finish. He was very sluggish and said he smoke too much. I ended up leaving and he just stayed in bed and didn’t say much to me. Then he sends me a photo on Snapchat the next day about him heading to the beach. It was a broad snap that looked like it was sent to other people. I know he’s going with a couple and the last time he hung out with them, there was a girl with them who I had never seen before. She’s shown up in photos for his birthday and other things. I was wondering if this was someone he’s seeing. I asked him if he was seeing anyone else and he said no and said he would let me know if he ever did, but I still feel like he’s hiding something. He wound up deleting the photo he shared that she was in after i asked that.
I know this a bit much for a situationship, but I just hate being lied to. I just want to know what’s really going on.

The last time I saw him he said he had to work and wouldn’t get off until late, then he calls me and says he was 30 minutes away because of work, but his job doesn’t require him to travel. When I went to his place, he was really intoxicated, he was very affectionate and touchy and it seemed like he could’ve been on molly or ecstasy. He said he only smoked weed & drank wine. I asked if he did that at work because he was too messed up when I saw him after he claimed to have come back from work. He said he went to dinner after work with friends. He couldn’t finish at all & would go limp sometimes , but still tried to go at it for a long time. The same thing happened the next day, but we agreed to see each other and when I messaged him about meeting up at the time we agreed on, he left me on read for about an hour. He said he was too high to drive to me and I suggested I’d go to him. He left me on read some more and then said I could go. Hey everyone thank you for reading this !!
It’s been close to 2 month, honestly I’m great mentally I know what I need to do and I’m staying to course, it’s just nice to express myself to the understanding people of this community.
I miss her so much 😭😭 I really hope she feels the same. I hope she misses me and the belly rubs. I loved her so fucking much and still do. I broke up with her and I don’t regret it but I still want to be with her (doesn’t make sense but it’s very complicated)
We went no contact 2 different times and this is the 2 time we’re in now. She is such an amazing woman and I truly wish nothing but happiness for her in her future. First time no contact I was hoping she would reach out. She never did. I finally reached out. I took her on a couple dates and she stayed at my house a couple nights and things were good. We did a lot of reflecting and talking and I thought things were looking good.
She told me she didn’t want to get back together now and wanted to focus on herself (until the summer was over, “until summers over “ exact words) which hurt. The night we broke up. We had talked about something and she agreed to not do it. Next morning she was doing it. So when she got home at night from a baby shower I was about to confront her and she was in a bubbly mood. So I confronted her. She got very defensive . And tbh I was wrong for this but I stonewalled and asked for a break. At that moment she paused and packed all her things,
I gave her a ride home and she didn’t say a word the whole car ride, after I dropped her off I helped her carry her things up, I just dropped them and made a quick exit (found out later she really didn’t like this) on my way out she came downstairs and leaned out and said “I don’t think I should come back” (We lived together for 2+ years)
Anyway I’m just really hurt, I’m too proud to admit that I’m really hurting so at least I can express it here. It’s a mixture of literally every emotion imaginable and if anyone or any group of people couple understand it would be this group.

I could tell that my dad was sick. He was loosing weight and was obviously very ill. I really tried to help for a while but he never told me the full extent of his illness. He was in liver failure. He was an alcoholic and had quit getting treatment for a genetic disorder. He refused to let me come to his home to help or do shopping, etc. He did let me start bringing him dinner daily although I later found it all in his kitchen uneaten. He must have felt so sick in the end. His house was a disaster, his dogs thin, he was unable to get up after a fall. He was dead weeks later and I feel so guilty. We were never close. He was in the military and he moved a lot....but I moved from several states away to try to help him. He wouldn't let me but I didn't push the issue. I never asked him twice after he said no to an offer. I miss my dad. I feel like I failed him. Now I am drunk. The guilt is awful. I should have done more.

Was stopped in Riverside park biking home 15 minutes after the park closed (time on ticket is 6 minutes later). This is my first pink slip, and I'm not sure what what the best course of action is. I'd obviously like to not have a criminal record, but if I show up in court and plead guilty and pay the associated fine is a criminal record guaranteed? Do these types of cases ever get lowered to non-criminal variants once I pay the fine? Is it advisable to get a criminal defense lawyer for a pink slip for being in a park late or am I treating this situation too seriously? Thanks.

I need advice on this situation AND your definitions of pressuring. btw I have nothing against people who smoke, I just personally don't want to myself.
My husband and I were at a bonfire with my friends and one of my friends took a cigarette out of the box. she knows I don't smoke, and never have. she said "smell this" and I sniffed it. my husband said "you should try it" and I said "no" and was very surprised and at first thought maybe he was joking. he knows I am personally against smoking and I've told him in the past I would never do it. Again he said "come on, you should try it." I said nope. he said "try it" and I said no. For a fourth time he said "just try it" and I said NO.
Later on our drive home I told him "I can't believe you were trying to pressure me to smoke." he said he wasn't pressuring me. I said you kept telling me I should repeatedly even though I kept saying no. you told me 4 times that I should do it and I kept saying no. He then proceeds to once again say he thinks I should do it and there's no harm in trying. I told him I have asthma and I'm a health conscious person, and I will never smoke, and he knows that. and he said I should try it just once. I asked him why he wants me to and said see you're pressuring me. We ended up getting into an argument.
By the time we got home it was a lot worse and we were fighting about it. He was very adamant that he wasn't pressuring me and his definition of pressuring would be if he kept going on and on about it for a long time. To me he was because he kept telling me I should despite me repeatedly telling him no. I told him the fact that he's trying to get me to smoke when I have asthma and am against smoking personally, to me it feels like he does not care about me. he does not respect my decision to never smoke and he wants me to do something that is bad for my health. he said it's not bad if I only do it once and I can't get addicted from taking one puff. one of my exes did though, he smoked one time while drunk then ended up craving it and became a heavy smoker.
I'm really upset that he is acting like this and it blows my mind that he's completely denying that this was him pressuring me, and he still sees nothing wrong with it and he thinks it shouldn't bother me like this. He says he thought I would want to and gives the reason that he thought I was saying no "for a different reason" than not wanting to and that he thought I would want to do it. This is ridiculous because I have told him multiple times in the past that I have never and will never smoke. He now says he thinks I should to confirm that I don't want to. the way I see it is it goes one of 2 ways. I smoke and don't like it and now I've done something I'm against which I didn't want to do anyway, or 2, I do it and I get addicted. Both are stupid ideas to me.
He still does not think that what he has been doing qualifies as pressuring me, even though he continues to say I should, because he thinks the definition of pressuring is to keep pestering me about it for days. to me it's telling someone to do something despite repeatedly being told no.
it deeply bothers me that he's being like this and I feel like he doesn't care. something else that bothers me too is his reactions (rather lack thereof) to my emotions. I got all upset and started crying because fighting got so frustrating and my husband never shows emotion, he doesn't cry. he will very rarely pretend cry and make a weird face but there are zero tears, his face is completely dry and his eyes are dry, and I tell him stop fake crying. and he will say "I think it feels like I'm crying" He's not and I've NEVER seen anything like it in my life, it's really concerning to me and I'm not sure what can cause someone to have the inability to cry. He's generally a pretty monotone person and when I crack jokes I'm used to other people I know and have known in the past laughing but he rarely laughs, sometimes it feels like I'm talking to a brick wall. :( I'm just honestly concerned he doesn't care about me and I don't understand his behavior. I’ve noticed that someone is using my reserved parking spot while I’m working at night. For the past 2 nights I couldn’t help but realize when I work my shifts on the weekend a car is parked in my spot that clearly has my condo number on it funny thing about this is my car sits there all week because I only work weekends I’ve left a note if I see it there again tomorrow night should I have it towed? (The reason I’m home during my work hours is because on break I like to have a meal with my wife and tell my kids goodnight)

I moved back to Japan 8 years ago and it's my first time living and working in "my home country". At the beginning, it was a huge culture shock. Now, I'm more used to Japanese life and language but I'm still not feeling home or comfortable living here. Are there any people with a similar background (Adult Third Culture Kids, hidden immigrants) in Japan who want to share experiences? The term "hidden immigrant" is referring to the fact that I have a Japanese name and face but I'm European from the inside. I recently found out about the term ATCK and I'm still going through a aha-phase. So, it would be great to share experiences with Japanese ATCKs.

The title says it all. I literally am almost unable to get these words out of my mouth with these people, with the very people who made me feel like shit and monster for not saying those stupid words. I never had any trouble saying it outside of this sick group of people called family, it comes naturally and depends on who I am with. For example, when I was sleeping at my friend´s house as a kid, it felt amazing to just wake up and we both said to each other "hey", or just announced each other in a non verbal way...I loved that, it was so normal and I did not have to kinda "perform" for someone you know? When we came downstairs, it was super natural to say good morning to her parents, no problem at all. Because I did not felt the amount of repulsion towards it as I do at home. I am able to say to this nshit "hello" and Ive been saying it to him like this for a while, so I thought he is probably content with that, better than nothing right? But yesterday, as I came downstairs and said it, he replied by "Good morning" in a very mean tone and told my brother afterwards, when he thought I did not hear him: " You know how (my name) greets me in the morning? She says hello to me!" And he finished it with that disgusting, condescending, ridiculing hellish laugh, that is incredibly humiliating....
I remember ndad being absolutely mad about me when I was a kid, when I did not say good evening either..The thing is, I would not have any trouble saying it, if it was not forced from me under the threat of being judged harshly after not saying it. It´s like with these "people", one can become the ultimate monster in any second, when he does not perform as they expect and they will throw away his entire personality, who he is, based on a bullshit thing like this. They lack any continuity in grasping person, I always felt weirdly judged, according to each and every moment I am with them, they dont know me at all, it´s like they are trying to do a snapshot of me at any given moment and situation and base my entire self on that "snapshot". I live with 3 of them around me. But Ndad is the worst in this, the others are "specialists" in other things...
There is just no way with these sick creatures, no matter how quickly I answer his phonecall, god forbid I dont answer right away, but 5 minutes later, he will brag about it days after..."how she dared not to answer immediately?!" Disgusting, sick monsters they are...

Every Spartan in Halo goes up against every clone trooper in Star Wars.
Spartans
- 50 Spartan-IIs
- 900 Spartan-IIIs
- 5000 Spartan-IVs
Spartans get their signature weapons if they have them (Nornfang, Oathsworn, etc), and they can fully equip themselves with any weapon in the UNSC armory. Ammunition, food, water, medicine, more weapons, and replacement armor parts are dropped onto the battlefield via drop pod. The most powerful munitions the Spartans will be able to access are C12 explosive packs and octa detonation charges.
The armor parts come with tools, and are sufficient to fully repair MJOLNIR with enough time (no more than a week for an extremely damaged suit).
The medical supplies come with whatever is necessary to maintain the IVs' augmentations, as well as smoothers for the Gamma IIIs.
The Spartans will be able to use unarmed Mongeese, Warthogs, and Razorbacks for transport. Fuel is not an issue, and replacement vehicles will appear in the wild.
Clone Troopers
- 6.2 million clone troopers
- 1600ish Clone Commandos
- The Bad Batch
All clones are equipped as they normally are, with the vast majority being equipped with blaster rifles. Some will have rocket launchers or rotary cannons. Replacement power packs, food, water, medicine, and more weapons will be ferried down to the surface by unarmed dropships, which will leave the battlefield after offloading their cargo. The most powerful munitions the clones will be able to access are thermal detonators, both in grenade and remote-detonated form.
The clones will be able to use unarmed AT-RTs and AT-TEs for transport. Fuel is not an issue, and replacement vehicles will appear in the wild.
Battlefield
The battlefield is a large, continent-sized landmass with varied terrain. Cities, abandoned military bases, large plains, deserts, forests, etc.In orbit, the UNSC Home Fleet is engaging the GAR Open Circle Fleet in combat. Neither side will win, but every 50 hours an opening will appear for either side to lob some Archers or turbolasers down at the surface. Both fleets will also be able to relay intel and drop supplies down to the troops on the surface. The orbital fight is mainly for flavor, though.
If the Spartans get ground into the dirt, reinforce them by making every ODST into a Spartan-IV and sending them in (plus 40,000ish IVs).
If the clones simply can't pin down the Spartans, give them their Jedi Generals (plus 400ish Jedi Generals).
Win condition for either side is making the enemies unable to drastically affect friendly operations in the region.
Use main canon for Halo, and Disney canon for Star Wars.

I moved into a new home...yay! As part of the buying process I purchased blinds and a washer and dryer through the builder. He never disclosed I would be paying almost 24% more for my washer and dryer, which was delivered late and broken...still waiting on the warrenty to fix it. The vendor he used gave me the invoice and I was able to see I paid $770 over the cost they paid. When I asked about this he bit my head off and refused to refund the difference...because he is in the business of making money! Yikes. I feel as if he stole from me and failed to properly disclose the cost or markup. Do I have any recourse? Is this even legal to charge such a huge mark up?
