Here is the run down of the last year. My job initially said moving from Utah to Texas would qualify me for a pay increase, so I moved to Texas. Two months later, they finally tell me that the states pay is actually equal to Utah and so a pay increase was not going to happen. I accepted this. We are a family of 3 and have done as much as we could while there. I couldn't go outside much because I'd get bit by hundreds of mosquito's at a time which made me miserable. I tolerated the heat, but not being able to just go on a walk sucked.
Two months after moving, a dog showed up on our porch and so we took her in. We knew Texas pups were prone to having issues, but we didn't know what we would end up with later as time goes on. She is such a beautiful breed, but she can't be left alone or else the house ends up destroyed due to her abandonment issues. Weeks after she showed up, I found out I was pregnant. I tried applying for medical through the state and kept getting denied every month with no valid explanation. I had no medical elsewhere so I was frustrated over this. Part of me didn't want this pregnancy if I couldn't manage to find care.
We made the decision to move back to Washington because of the following reasons:

My job, AFTER I MOVED, decided it wasn't within their BUDGET to give me a pay increase even though they said moving to Washington is a qualifying factor. Kudos to my remote job for screwing me ONCE AGAIN. Then following the new move, as we are staying in motels while finding a place to live, our dog almost died AGAIN! This time it was $1700 to save her! We tapped nearly every aspect of our resources to cover this poor pups health.
Also, although I work remotely, my spouse does gig work (instacart), therefore having a car is necessary for his job. Well, our cars engine died and we ended up using the last of our savings to lease a car, costing us the option to rent a home now. We literally have nothing left at this point as we pay $2580 a month for motels (We have to leave every 10 days because of some residency law Washington has).
So I decided maybe we can buy a home so I can pull money from my 401k since the only approved withdrawal is a hardship withdrawal for closing costs or medical. I only qualified for $150k which shows how little we make (considering I'm on shit Utah wages).
I was approved for state medical in April and could start seeing doctors in May (8 months into the pregnancy). Don't judge me. I did what I could do with what I had available to me based on my situation.
Baby is due this month (June 2023) and I have been repeatedly told to wait to buy a home until I get a pay increase. Yeah...Okay. Like that's going to happen. LOL. I'm nothing more than a customer service rep so I will never be more than a low wage employee. I know my value in this world is bottom level shit. I emailed habitat for humanity, but they never responded. They don't call me back either, so I am assuming they just don't want to say "Go back to school and get a degree that's worth something and isn't "business"."
I applied for food benefits and was told I made too much even though I barely eat 1 meal a day thanks to not having any money to manage my gestational diabetic diet. My spouse and child do get to eat 3 meals a day because they are being restricted.
Now lets add that my clinic was bought out by a bigger hospital and now my 11 year old can't be in the private waiting area like we had planned. We have no family around to watch him or our dog because they'll be in Utah for a family reunion. I have no friends in this state. So now my spouse will be forced to watch him as I give birth alone with zero support instead of him being in a tiny waiting area in the birthing center so I could have support. I don't even want to give birth now! I regret ever getting pregnant now and that's such a shitty feeling when I've wanted a second child for 10 years!
I am lost as to what to do now. No pay increase. We have literally nothing for baby. Living in motels. Zero savings. No family close by that can even help. The family that could help eventually wanted us to leave which is why we left to Texas to begin with. We don't qualify for food benefits even though all I can afford is Ramen or PB&Js and with that, I can't eat it since I'm a gestational diabetic, leaving me to starve. I applied for so many different housing options to be told there is a 1 year wait list. We can't hold up in motels for a year. I'll die from starvation and even then, we wouldn't be able to pay a deposit. We've tried starting a GoFundMe but our families don't know our situation, therefore asking for money from strangers feels wrong. We can't get help through the VA, we've tried.
I don't know what else to do. I need advice. Guidance. Something to give me peace of mind. I'm so broken that I think suicide is better than living. Part of me hopes I die in labor so my spouse can get my life insurance, not that it'll help a ton. I feel worthless. Pathetic. Stupid. Hopeless.

Since the start of high school, I keep getting a B in English every year, it's what drags my GPA down and I'm really struggling in it. This is mostly due to the fact that I got into an international school just last year and previously never spoke English at school Everything else has been an A or A* though.

Due to the timing on reward flight business class availability, we are only spending six nights in Japan before continuing on to Tahiti next April. Hi All, I am looking for a laptop that is mostly productivity /business purpose so I can do stuff like emails, word, web browsing , watching movies on the go. I won’t need it for any resource heavy apps like video editing or AAA gaming. I will use my PC for this which would also be my daily driver.
I want to have a touch laptop for quick notes or occasional amateur painting. I will be buying a kindle scribe so am in a dilemma about touchscreen laptop.

Sorry if this is dumb, but I thought I'd ask to be sure. While downloading, Last Seen Complete is pretty self-explanatory. However, I was looking around and noticed that the things I'm actively seeding have it listed as today, whereas the things that are stalled seeding have older dates. Is this something I can rely on or is there some other factor at play?
I just want to make sure because my system has limited space and every so often I need to delete some of my torrents, but I don't like deleting ones with low seeders because I like keeping them alive. However, because of this I've built up a lot of torrents that have single-digit seeders. I've built up pretty high ratios on some of them, but I also don't see many of them active anymore. A lot of them are single episodes of TV shows and most people probably just get them by torrenting the whole season these days. If I can consistently see the last time one of these was actually active, it'd give me another metric for deciding what I can get rid of when I need to free up space.

TLDR below for those of you who don't like to read much.
My NAS just died a few days ago and I've got to get a new one... sooner rather than later, as I've consistently had one for the past 22 years of my life. While the one that just died was my fourth or fifth one, it was also the first that I had ever used plex media server for streaming my downloaded movies and tv shows & such from. While it does have some flaws, I did like how it will fix names as well as match stuff to the correct cover images, and add episode or movie synopsis information.
The only thing is that I like to watch stuff with subtitles so that if someone says something and I didn't understand it for whatever reason I can just glance down and see what it was they said, without having to increase the volume and rewind the show a bit to try to understand whatever it is they said that I didn't understand.
Well the nas that I just lost didn't have a strong enough processor to be able to do ANY kind of transcoding at all. Which aggravated me because it has to transcode to put subtitles in the video stream as it's streaming. Otherwise I have to put the video in a program like handbreak and download the subtitles and basically copy the video into a new file with burnt in subtitles that can never be turned off. I don't mind that they can't be turned off so much, but I hate have to spend the extra time & effort to do that & would rather find a NAS with a good enough processor that it can transcode itself without me having to burn the subs in first.
Now while I usually only watch 1080p because of how much longer it takes to burn subtitles into a 4k video I wouldn't mind watching one that my nas could transcode itself. So the plex website says to transcode 4K HDR 10-bit HEVC it needs a processors with a PassMark score of 17,000.
TLDR;

Where do I find the PassMark score for the processor in a NAS?
Because I found a NAs and started googling it's anme & the words "PassMark score" and nothing would come up but websites talking about benchmarks, one website said it lists them, but this NAS's CPU wasn't listed, and I can only figure cause the site doesn't list NAS CPU's & instead only lists regular PC CPU's.
Please let me know where I'm supposed to find PassMark scores?

As table setting, I haven’t listened to MBMBaM in three years, give-or-take, so I have no clue what the modren era (😎) of the show is like. 1:10 - Introductions. Travis introduces himself as “noted intellectual and middlest brother”, and Griffin just says “…And I’m Griffin… McElroy”. I didn’t laugh, but I did actually find that slightly funny, so I’m optimistic for how this goes.
1:35 - Justin has invented a new game that he wants to play called “Simply the Guests” where he tells them who guested on a celebrity’s podcast and they have to guess the celebrity. Travis points out that the title is a touching tribute (to Tina Turner, he clarifies a few seconds later) and there’s a bit where Justin and Griffin pretend not to know she died that Justin interrupts with a parody song. Is this too soon? I can’t tell, but I also only get my celebrity death news from Simpsons memes.
2:31 - I’ve had to pause and restart enough times that I’ve realized how shitty the web player is, since I have to click like three times before it registers as being on the page and actually trying to play instead of just highlighting the button, and if I try to click the 15 second rewind button it usually skips to the ~11 minute mark right above the button. However, I refuse to actually download the episode because if I do that, Jesse Thorne wins.

I’m struggling to think of games he’s come up, which is maybe a metaphor for how I never finished FFVII. 10:30 - Travis and Griffin discuss “Sorbo adjacent” celebrities and Justin scolds them for not talking to each other, saying that’s what a podcast is and that he’s trying to do a podcast. To paraphrase a joke from Jon Gabrus, it’s three straight white men talking, we already know it’s a podcast.
11:30 - Travis suggests Dennis Quaid, since he has a strong connection to baseball and Christ. Griffin agrees and Travis is in fact correct. Ironically, that means that Jimmy Morris was probably the most helpful clue, since Dennis Quaid starred in The Rookie. Justin offers a bonus for naming the show, and says it’s something with “Dennis”. Griffin accurately guesses “The Dennissance”.

Closing Thoughts: I actually enjoyed that, although with a lot of stopping and starting to write this. Also anyone who likes Clipping Yoda may also like Action Boyz, because pedophile Yoda is a surprisingly rich vein to mine. I don’t think I’ll ever actually pick up listening again, since I have about 280 episodes of Off Book to get to first and this whole recap has made me really contemplate my mortality, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it

I'll preface this by saying that I'm a young'n. I won't specify my age, just for the sake of privacy. Skyrim has been a huge influence on my life and I thought it would be cool to share for anyone bored enough to read a glorified "little gamer's autobiography" on Reddit. I'm sure I'm remembering some of this wrong, but the timeline by itself should be pretty exact.
I was about 7 at the time, if my memory serves me. Close estimate at worst. As a little guy I was into a lot of stuff, and usually every 2 weeks I would switch topics I was unreasonably obsessed with. Usually the cycle would be Marvel, Cthulhu, werewolves, DC, Predator (the movies and the few games - way too young to be into something like that but it's an interest that remains to this day), stuff like that. During the werewolf phase of this cycle, I went to my dear mom (as you do) to ask her if she knew any werewolf games. After a few instances of this question, she said something along the lines of "well, you can turn into a werewolf in Skyrim". This little answer set off a very important chain of events. One thing led to another, and I ended up with Skyrim on my Xbox 360 on my stupid little box TV. Don't be fooled, this was when the PS4 and Xbox 1 were well into the modern gaming zeitgeist, my family was just really poor at the time. The PS3 and the aforementioned 360 were my consoles. 360 was a hand-me-down from my uncle and the PS3 was an old one of my parents. These were not my first, I played the Wii-U a fair bit and Wii-bowling was my introduction to videogames. Back to the meat and potatoes, Skyrim. I watched a video on my PS3 a few days before on the little box TV, some guy in a little bunch of glaciers in Skyrim turns into a werewolf to fight an enemy I can't remember. This lit up my brain like a wildfire. I immediately fired it up on the 360, one of the probably three games I had on it at the time. It was my secondary console. I played my heart out on the little thing, with only one character. He had my name. Werewolf, ring of Hircine, heavy armor, greatsword, which is what I'd guess is the exemplary character for a 7-year-old Skyrim boy. In my time on the 360, me and my parents ended up moving into a trailer park somewhere else. I never really made it to the end of any of the questlines, and from memory, my playthrough ended without the main quest pursued or any other faction questline for that matter, the College of Winterhold being the exception for reasons I'll give in a second. My most vivid memory of Skyrim at this age goes like so: I'm sitting crisscross applesauce probably only a foot away from this low-quality box TV. A few days before I had discovered that there was a magic forge under Winterhold, and you could do a glitch where you could make Daedric armor without consuming the ingredients if you grabbed them from the box quick enough. Little me was (and still is) obsessed with looking cool in videogames. Daedric armor was my holy grail as a little guy. I instantly pursued the College of Winterhold, and I can't remember this part well but I know there's some way to summon a Daedra on top of the college or something like that - I did that. Killed the Daedra, got a heart so I could forge the armor. After a bunch of time getting the ingredients, I made my way to the forge. I was there, about to put the ingredients in, when my parents are going out the door to the grocery store. (I was in the living room playing. I didn't have a room in that trailer, only really a mattress in my dad's room which I sometimes slept on. I usually took the couch in the living room so I could watch TV instead of his laptop.) My mom asks me "hey, do you want to come to the grocery store with us?" I'm too engrossed in the game and just kind of wave them away. While they're gone I forge a two sets of Daedric armor (with a bunch of save-scumming and error) under the college, one for me and one for my follower, and I am happier than ever. I killed a few enemies in the snow (with my still iron weapons) and B-A Daedric armor. My memory gets fuzzy at this point. I either kept playing for a while or quit close to there. Not important.
Christmas comes and my grandpa buys me a PS4. I stay on that for a while, not playing Skyrim. Soon after, my grandpa buys an Xbox 1.. FOR HIMSELF. Specifically to play PUBG on. He liked PUBG a lot, then. (He's not dead. He just plays other games now. Me and him used to co-op Halo and stuff, but now he's more into mobile games because he's old.) He didn't like PUBG on the Xbox, so he gave it to me. Glorious rediscovery of Skyrim begins a few years later. Mods. My favorite mod at that point was the ported Predator mod (because as I said earlier, loved Predator, still do). Played that for hundreds of hours. Had other playthroughs, too, without the Predator mod. Some were mages, rogues, warriors, I really branched out. I was into the roleplay of it. A lot. Once again, my memory kind of fails me here. I don't have many stand-out experiences from that time period, though I do remember being on voice chat with my friend Joe a lot while playing the game and sometimes broadcasting to him from the now-dead broadcasting thing I forget the name of. Good times. Heavily modded times. Hundreds of hours into Skyrim. Loved every second. What's weird, though, is I still never pursued any of the factions really. Didn't pursue the main quest. I do vividly remember completing the DB questline and being in absolute awe. I loved that. I remember sitting on the couch during one of the important parts of that questline (which I wont specify for spoiler's sake I guess) and I called my mom in to watch because I was so excited. Skyrim is a beautiful thing.
A few years later, my entire family pitches in to buy me a wicked PC and gaming chair. Still have the PC, chair broke a while ago. I play my fair share of Steam games that I could finally play after watching YouTube videos on them for years. Absolute bliss. Then.. another glorious rediscovery of Skyrim. With better mods, too. I decided to go with Oldrim for some weird reason. One of my friends showed me a mod he made as an add-on to another one I frequently used and I really loved it. That was like, the only reason I went with Oldrim. Still have that mod, still use it. Won't specify the mod for privacy's sake. Still played with the Predator mod very frequently, still do, but loved it more because the PC version has way more stuff. Bunches and bunches of playthroughs, around 100 mods, life's good. I make a character named Orrid, a Redguard, who practices the old Yokudan art of Sword-singing. He's still my main character and I'm still going through with roleplay and story arcs galore.
My mom separates from my dad. They don't get divorced, but feel like they'd be happier if they lived in separate houses and just visited each other very frequently. Don't mean to get too real, but it's mildly important. All three of us are still happy, and I have a sister now. She used to annoy me at the other trailer, but now I have an actual room in my apartment and she doesn't bother me 24/7 like usual. Back to Skyrim! I keep playing at the new apartment. It's actually running right now, in my room, in my apartment. Still going with Orrid, having a grand old time. I recently got my mom back into Skyrim on HER Xbox 1.
I go to church. I live in Southeast North America, you kind of have to go to church here. I'm in a youth group, and we have a videogame room. This paragraph happened a week or so ago. We play the Nintendo Switch, mostly Mario Kart (which I destroy everyone at). The pastor broke out Skyrim. I played Skyrim a couple times, but me and the pastor both kind of realized it couldn't go on because it was single player and with me destroying everyone at Mario Kart and the single player game combined nobody really dwelled there but me. It might as well have been my own little plane of Oblivion. I had a character named Orc Masterson, with the intent to actually do the main questline. At some point, the pastor comes to me and tells me he's gonna have to take the game off the list for the greater good. I agree. I'm about to leave the building, because it was post-lesson time, but pastor's quickly disconnecting the Switch and its charger. He runs up to me with the little thing. "Said-A-Funny, take the switch. Beat the game by next Sunday as Orc Masterson, do me proud." He knows I've never finished the main quest. He's as big a nerd as me, and plays Skyrim too. I initially declined taking the Switch, because I felt like I was inconveniencing him, but he INSISTED. I walked out, the Switch freeze-framed on me about to fight Mirmulnir. I decide to take this challenge as seriously as possible. It's the last few weeks of school, and every day I get back, instead of playing Skyrim on my PC as Orrid, I play Skyrim on my loaned Switch as Orc Masterson. I realize the family's going to the beach and I'll have to have an extension on my Orc Masterson challenge time. He obliges.
Last Wednesday, at the beach. I beat the main questline of Skyrim for the first time in my life. I sent a text to my pastor, and I did him proud. I'm going to return the Switch and its charger today at the church function. Level 20, Orc Masterson. A Skyrim character devoted to my pastor.
To close out, I've played Skyrim for a lot of my life and will continue to play for a lot more. My pastor will too. I love the game, always have, and I find it really funny how the game has followed me from console to console, house to house, grade to grade. One of two decorations in my new room is a tiny Skyrim poster my grandpa put up himself.
What a game.
