I know it’s probably me just overthinking but my best friend is my girl’s best friend… but idk if I trust him. Me (16y) and her (16y) started dating 7 months ago but I know my best friend (16y) for like 10 years and those two are friend for like an year. They are really close and go out sometimes and in the summer she plans to go with only him to the swimming pools or just hang out. She also hides her conversations with him bc “He tells me stuff that I can’t show you”, we sometimes trade phones and the only thing she doesn’t let me do is to go to their conversations even tho I let her go trough all my phone… it’s like they know more about each other than I know about them both. I wanted to trust her but I’m really jealous and I don’t what to do… and whenever I think about them I just fell really down. Does anyone knows what I should do or any advice?

some microwave buttons are not functioning
so open it up to look at the FFC cable and I think some connector pins might not be making connection.. seems like the the contact on the FFC connect might be worn out on some pins..
now what is the best way to fix this? can I add solder to those pins ? there is concern that the plastic cable connector can melt due to the heat. Or any other suggestions?
I cannot buy new FFC cable cos it is an old microwave and most likely not have the part or not worth the cost.
I have tried removing and plugging back in the cable which work at first then the for some reason it stop working again.

I wanted to write down everything that I can remember shortly after and slightly before being diagnosed with Graves’ disease and share my crazy rollercoaster. It all started around February or March of last spring. I was at college. This was probably the best place I’d ever been. The atmosphere was amazing. Anyways, it all started with a fatigued feeling. Feeling like I had no energy, so tired all the time. I would miss so many days of my organic chemistry class because of how bad it was. Then I started to make loud noises. They were like tics, it would be the same noise over and over again. My CF really helped me when I was battling this struggle. I also during the time of this struggle, would have impulsive thoughts, like wanting to jump out of a window, lay in the street or lay on the grass outside. I remember I had a hard time with communication when there were officers trying to understand what was going on with me. During class I would wear my headphones because the slightest sounds were very loud to me. Lighting bothered me too. Then I would get overstimulated. Where I had to leave the classroom. It was a really interesting feeling. I would also run around where I would get holes in my socks because of how much I ran around. I played loud music with me too. This was in the dorms. I remember my psychiatrist actually called me during one of those moments. Then I got a really happy feeling. Always talking with friends and just feeling on top of the world (mania). By the way, all this stuff started suddenly last spring, and wasn’t in my life before then. Sure I talked with friends and was happy, but I didn't have the euphoric feeling that I did have. Then started on antipsychotic drugs to stop the mania and the loud noises. I would flap my hands, jump around and pace constantly. I had to leave school early because of all these occurrences. I was so sad to leave. I was going to school for oral surgery. Later on, when I went back home I had decreased libido too. I got an autism diagnosis. The pacing continues (a need for walking). My left hand would tap while my right hand would shake. The loud noises stopped sometime in the summer. I had to quit my job because the feeling of having to make noises and lay on the ground was so crazy. I wish I knew why I made noises, I can't find anyone else online who did.

Hey, I'm in my second year at college and feeling down because I haven't been successful with dating. I've never been in a relationship, and I've never really gotten past any first dates. What makes it harder is that I don't have many people who can relate to my experiences or cheer me up. Most of my friends are in long-term relationships, and they just make the whole dating thing seem so easy. I'm happy for them, I love my friends, but it's hard to not feel left behind. They do a lot with their girlfriends, as they should. They go out to dinner, go to concerts, and even do mundane things like go grocery shopping. I'm fine doing those things by myself, but...I would trade anything to do those things with the company of a girl who I cared about and who cared about me. My friends and I still go out to eat once in a while, but it's just not the same because they've all shifted their priorities. The girlfriends always have to tag along now, or they just don't seem as interested because they want to spend time with their girlfriends.
I'm a funny guy, I work hard in school, I'm smart, I'm good at planning fun dates and happy to pay for them, I take care of my body and go to the gym, I can be spontaneous and adventurous, and I genuinely think I'd make a great boyfriend. So we bought our first home late last year and did not face any issues. We did hear some noises and sounds like the usual structural sounds like wood creaking at night which we thought was normal for an old house. Ours is 2002. The previous owners lived for two years and sold and moved away as their company transferred them (or so we were told) and the ones before them lived since it was built.
Lately, we have started hearing things. Like tonite I heard some music like the ringtones of an old Nokia phone. First I thought it was my washing machine making the sound but nobody turned on the machine so it was not the machine. Called my husband across the hall in the room to see if he was watching a reel and he was fast asleep.
Two nights ago, while I was putting my baby to sleep, my husband came asking to me if I was in the Kitchen doing dishes. I said NO. He said he clearly heard someone moving around the kitchen doing stuff and thought it was me.
A week ago, I was by myself with my baby and my dog and my dog ran towards the garage door barking at something or someone. I turned on the light and there was nothing. Few hours later, we both heard some sound again in the garage and checked again to find nothing.
My husband had the similar incident during the other when he heard a sound in the garage and did find any source of it upon checking.
The scariest of all, I was on a video call with my mum and I kid you not she asked who is the other man in the house wearing a cap/hat? I said mum, don’t scare me I am all alone and it’s just Buddy my dog and the baby. She said she she saw someone come out of the garage and walk into the hall. The same day after a more minutes, Buddy my pet growled the garage door again.
I heard footsteps one night walking towards the bathroom when I was in there and thought it was my husband and I walked out to find him sleeping.
We both heard baby crying sounds in the beginning a couple of times but then it could have been our baby too and we are both burned out taking care of our little one that we did think much of it.
The entry from the garage leads to our laundry which is right across my main bedroom. We are in a ranch style home and our garage has an attic which I am told is too narrow to do anything.
So, what do you guys think is happening here? Whatever happens, it only happens when only one of us is at home or alone in a area. We have not experienced anything together.

I have a 2TB WD My Book Essential that I got after 2011, but probably before 2015. I am not exactly certain.
I noticed recently the normal white light flashed red sometimes, but was mostly white. This weekend, the whole thing was off and unrecognized by my computer. There were no sounds or smells; changing USB ports didn’t change anything. I unplugged it and replugged it, and nothing. This is about the extent of my capabilities.
I am shopping for a repair service at the moment as I desperately want to recover my data. I read that post 2010 My Books have something called WARE and need a USB bridge or risk being reformatted. What does this mean exactly? The service I am talking to said to bring it in for a diagnostic but did not answer this question.
I want to know if data recovery is even possible without a similar device or if I need to buy the same model as mine off eBay or something. How does this work? And honestly, what are the chances of recovery? Should I be prepared for the worst and hope for the best, or just prepare for the worst and be ready to accept it?
I would appreciate any advice or answers possible. I have a lot of personal writing and family photos on this drive. Thanks!

We provide experimental evidence that core intertemporal choice anomalies — including extreme short-run impatience, structural estimates of present bias, hyperbolicity and transitivity violations — are driven by complexity rather than time or risk preferences. First, all anomalies also arise in structurally similar atemporal decision problems involving valuation of iteratively discounted (but immediately paid) rewards. These computational errors are strongly predictive of intertemporal decisions. Second, intertemporal choice anomalies are highly correlated with indices of complexity responses including cognitive uncertainty and choice inconsistency. We show that model misspecification resulting from ignoring behavioral responses to complexity severely inflates structural estimates of present bias.

Me, 13f and my mom, 41f have always been a difficult relationship ever since i can remember. Growing up i rarely saw her and my older sister took care of me, the times i do remember weren't good ones. I understand my mom has been through a lot, more then i could imagine. But, she is the type of person to be very hypocritical, and doesn't wanna accept that she can be wrong at times. Ever since my sister moved out of the house being around my mom makes me on edge, worried or scared of what i say or do could start a whole war between us..like walking on eggshells when i'm in the same room around her. Me and my mom fight very often compared to my other 3 siblings, i assume it's because they don't talk to her as much. Most arguments happen because she would get upset if i was, sometimes she doesn't let me feel what i need to feel. She puts a lot of pressure on me a lot compares herself or other people to me often, and makes me feel bad about how i look and like. I know no mother is perfect but sometimes i just wished that everything can just go away. Please, i need help.

Overall, Portland bicycle traffic in 2022 dropped more than a third compared to 2019, to levels not seen since approximately 2005-2006 (Table 1). This is based on a comparison of people counted at the 184 locations that were counted in both 2022 and 2019. Volunteers recorded 17,579 people biking at those 184 locations in 2022, a 37% drop from the 27,782 counted at the same locations in 2019. This reversion to earlier and lower volumes is also reflected in bicycle commute data, as well as for driving, walking, and using transit to commute. (Tables 5-6) Looking at data from 2013-2019 we see that bicycling remained relatively flat between 2013 and 2016. However, bicycle counts dropped significantly between 2016 and 2019. This drop is also reflected in census commute data.

While 2022 data is anomalously low, it is also a continuation of a trend of declining bicycle use in Portland. Both annual count data and Census data demonstrates that bicycle use in Portland peaked in the 2013-2015 period and has been declining since.

Call me contrarian, but I have never been convinced that bicycles have a promising economic future in a truly Pigouvian city. And as a side point, how popular would bicycles be if they were embedded with software, requiring each bicycle to respect the law, stop at red lights, and so on?

Hi everyone! I’m a college student with EDS, and I’m looking to interview some EDSers in the Philly area.
I’m in a longform nonfiction writing class wherein we pursue one topic for 4 months or so, and produce a ~40 page story about it. I’d really like to use this opportunity to humanize the condition and bring awareness to EDS, but also highlight the diversity of experiences that people have had.
This is going to be more story-based than medical fact-based, so I would like to go in depth with the people I interview and get to know you (chronic oversharers please apply!). I want to know about your EDS experience, but also your life in general – how has EDS impacted your life, your worldview, maybe your jobs and hobbies, etc.
Also, I’d like to capture the full spectrum of EDS as best as I possibly can. If you have vEDS, cEDS, or another subtype and you are comfortable with sharing your story, that would be really great. Same goes for if you have stories to share about your experience with doctors/the healthcare system, or if you just think that EDS has impacted your life in a unique way.
I’m not really sure what the final project will look like -- probably a mix of my own experience, other people’s experiences, and general reflecting on EDS and living with a chronic illness.
