I work as an outreach support worker and one of the buildings my client lives in is bed bug infested. The company I work for has scheduled an exterminator and they are coming early this week. The company knew about the bed bugs for over a week now and knew that the clients units would need to be deep cleaned and have all their clothes packed up in bags etc before the exterminator gets here. They did nothing. Now it's the weekend and I get a message from the management team saying the support workers working over the weekend would be responsible for deep cleaning this clients unit before the exterminator comes. There is only one worker on at a time and we have several other clients we deal with and require our supports. This particular client lives in filth. Her unit is an absolute disaster. The client has departed on a retreat a day ago without doing any general cleaning herself and left it all to us. I do not have a washer and dryer at home and I so cannot simply bag my clothes and wash them as soon as I get home from cleaning in the bed bug infestation. Also, my company flat out told me that if I bring bed bugs home and infest my own house that they will not cover or help with expenses for extermination because there is no way to prove I brought it home from the infested building therefore they have no liability.
What are my options? I want to flat out refuse this.

My job is based around revenue reconciliation. Been doing it for almost a year and it's my first proper accounting/finance based role.
I work in a fairly niche market for a huge company, but my main duties essentially revolve around raising purchase and sale invoices, preparing files (namely excel spread sheets) which contain the breakdown of profits and costs due to us and our customers, and if I'm being honest, that's it really.
Obviously there is a lot of variety in the accounts, some more time consuming, some less, but overall, it doesn't feel like I'm doing accounting. I sometimes think to myself, is this the job I've gotten after going to university?
Don't get me wrong, I know I'm very early on in my career, but like seriously, where is the actual accounting? I am doing CIMA, but my job is literally just a drone-level job if I'm being blunt. I am not learning anything from the job, besides excel skills, but that's just because I went out and taught it to myself after realising what could help me out at work etc. I want to get into the actual analysis, forecasting, potentially decision making as soon as possible.
Is this what my beginnings are supposed to look like, or is this how it really is? Or am I just in the wrong place and should look elsewhere if I want something to actually teach me more accounting and actual use cases for finance/accounting, as opposed to just being a drone that is taught the process and nothing else accounting related?
Edit - I have been considering trying to get into mortage advisory positions and further down the line become a financial controller, but I'm unaware of how I should go about this, what roles I would need to take on, what I'd need to learn, etc, any advice is more than welcome.

The scare acting itself is always fun, sets look amazing, and the costumes are good because of the one single costume department employee. The owners however are just…not great. It is a wife/husband duo. The wife is just a very unpleasant person in multiple ways. Speaks to adult employees like children for no reason, generally speaks to everyone like they are underneath her shoe, and blames employees (me, I’m the employee) for the behavior of inebriated guests who shouldn’t have been let in to start with. I’ve included some screenshots of a conversation I had with the wife about the specific incident I’m referring to. A more sensitive person would have a really tough time in that situation. 7 months into doing d2d sales. I jumped on the job out of desperation but found out i really love sales. 44M bachelors degree in liberal studies. Worked at a startup for 8 years as a research analyst. In a medium sized city (Charleston, sc) with a burgeoning tech community.
I’ve had some interesting interviews for sales positions in tech sales, but no offers yet.

Asking for a friend who's looking for a fun naked street bike. Below are the strongest contenders in the race.
I don't see many recommending the new NS200 to potential buyers, nor do anyone enquire about that bike. I second my friends opinion, and believe that for the price, it's got all you want in a street bike. Looks fine, has the necessary features such a gear position indicator, dual channel abs etc, good aftermarket accessories support and service network, all at a pretty good price.
What is the opinion of the esteemed member's of this sub about the matter? Is the NS 200 a good purchase now with the updates, or are we missing something?
Edit - He did look into the Pulsar 250's ,but is reluctant due to it's lack of a 6th gear.

- MT15 = Was first in the race. But the price and the CC (150 cc) is holding him back.
- Gixxer 250 (naked) = Liked the bike, but probably won't go for it because he's concerned about service and parts availability (maintenance and accessories) given the abysmal sales figures for that bike.
- NS200 = Wasn't in the race, but with the new updates, he believes it is a good vfm bike and is now currently first in the race.

I'm a 19 year old student in my first year of university. I'm in quite a good position financially but I find it hard to not constantly worry about money.
For context, my upbringing wasn't the greatest and my parents were incredibly religious. I ended up leaving the religion and running away from home at 18, supporting myself on my savings and part time income from work. I'd saved up about £12k from working throughout college and was earning a little over £400 a month at the time and by the time I'd started uni I'd burnt through about £2k of my savings. I got lucky in that I made friends with someone over the summer who'd worked for student finance, and was able to help me apply to get my estranged status recognised (which it did), which meant I've been eligible for full student loans (about £10k) and about £3k in bursaries from the university. I also continued my job until I was made redundant in February, which did make me anxious at the time but I managed to secure a summer internship where I'll make £6k, and the company has agreed to take me on every summer till I finish uni so that'll hopefully be some consistent income.
As it stands, I'm spending about £4.5k a year on accommodation, and my other regular monthly expenses (food, transportation, going on nights out etc) comes out to £300 or so a month. I'm back up to £12k or £13k or so in savings again and over the summer I'll make a lot more money to hopefully add to that too. I don't know why though, but spending money still makes me feel anxious.
I do feel like I've come a long way from college where I'd be scared to spend a penny thinking it could make the difference between me getting away from my situation or not, but I think some of that has still carried through with me. Next year for example I'll have to pay an entire years accommodation (about £5k) up front, which I can easily afford to do (although I might need to take some money out of my ISA as I've only got £3k in my emergency fund) but the idea of having all that money come out at once just really scares me. I've been using YNAB for budgeting and every time something I feel I could've avoided comes up (like going to subway rather than making my own food or paying for the bus when I could've cycled or walked instead) I feel immense guilt even though I know I can afford it. Like rationally I know I'm in a good enough position to afford luxuries, as it stands I'm getting £13k from student loans and bursaries alone when I'm spending about £8-9k a year, and then I've got the £6k I'll get over the summer (and hopefully every summer) and probably another £5-6k if I get a term time job too (which I am considering doing).
It's difficult to describe but I almost feel a bit of fear when I'm spending money, like I'm scared I'll run out even though I know logically I'd have to double my expenses to get anywhere close. It does have some good sides too, like I cook most of my own meals, I pre heavily before going out and only buy 1-2 drinks when I am out, if that, but at the same time it also stops me spending on things that I think will make my life easier because I just have this mental barrier between me and spending money. I don't think it's the money that's the issue, like I don't think earning more will help but I'm not sure what will.
As an aside I do also have a personal goal to try and save £50k by the time I leave uni (I'm on an integrated masters so I'll have another 3 years to do this) since I want to buy a house as soon after I leave as I can. If we assume my expenses remain the same and I do get a term time job this would be more than doable though (£16k saved a year * 3, + £12k already saved), so I don't think that's really contributing to it.

I (18 M) and my partner (18 M/F) (shes gender fluid) have been together for a couple of months now. I remember loving and having this huge crush on him thinking he was amazing and I still do love him and think he’s great but at the same time there are things about him that I’ve come to realise either just don’t make sense or has crossed lines that I’ve stated I was uncomfortable with.
I’m sorry if this doesn’t make much sense but I have a hard time wrapping my head around everything that’s happened.
So basically I told him that because of things that have happened in my past- (SA and grooming) I’ve been uncomfortable having sex or seeing the naked body and this was a thing he knew before we even got together and has acknowledged because he got changed in a separate room to me when I went over to his house, but he’s sent me his old nudes that at the time I didn’t really think much of but they automatically saved to my phone due to the app I talk to him through and now I can’t bear to look at my photos because if I see even a glimpse of them it makes me feel sick and disgusting so I haven’t been able to delete them. We were on the phone a few days ago and she kept mentioning to me that she hadn’t taken any good nudes as of late and that she’ll miss being in the house by herself because she wouldn’t be able to walk around without a top on (she’s got a female body) and she kept talking about it and it made me uncomfortable because of the mental image- and then she send me a picture of her without a top her top on and I felt very uncomfortable but felt I couldn’t say anything so she didn’t get upset. But I genuinely can’t look at a naked body regardless of if it’s just the top or bottom half. She knew but decided to do this anyway.
Another issue I’ve had is that I can’t be over peoples houses overnight because again it makes me uncomfortable because of past issues I’ve had prior to them. She knows this. But has complained to me about it so I went over twice to appease her but she then assumed that I was going to go over every Friday night and I told her no, she tried to tell me that her younger brother wanted to see me because she would tell him I was coming over without me knowing she even wanted me over in the first place. I cannot stress the amount of times I’ve told her being around places overnight stress me out and make me incredibly uncomfortable, she says in her words “I know and I get that BUT I just want to be around you and cuddle with you and sleep with you” and she complains that she goes out with people who live with their partners and says that she can’t do that stuff with me because I don’t want to go over.
The last thing I have a main issue with is the fact she doesn’t seem to know or care how I don’t like how people seem to stare at her chest or try and flirt with her when I’m not there knowing we are together and she’s told me that it only ever becomes an issue if it makes her uncomfortable. I told her that, that shouldn’t be the only issue there and the fact that people know we are together and think it’s okay to flirt with her and want to do sexual things with her isn’t okay and is incredibly desperate and pathetic and incredibly disrespectful and she told me I was expecting too much.
There was one guy we were friends with I’m going to call them L, I did so much shit for L because I thought he was truly a victim of abuse and neglect (abuse from partner and neglect from parents) turns out none of that was true and he was actually the abuser and he stated that he wanted to eat out my partner and when my partner learned of this and when I brought it up she IMMEDIATELY defended him and said “I’d get it if he was single” and all this other bs that I don’t remember right now.
I want to break up because there are so so many other issues that I have and now every single thing frustrates me the only reason I haven’t broke up with her is because I’m afraid she’ll say that she’s going to self harm because when we first got together or something she mentions that if I hadn’t gotten with her when I did that she would be in a dark place with SH and other horrible things.
I’m so so sorry for the long post lol but I’ve had like one person to talk to about this and I think I need some outside perspective any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My house is 100+ years old. The previous bathroom fan burnt out, which generally would be an easy replacement...if it wasn't for the fact that our duct is so old they literally do not make fans in that diameter any more. It's 120mm, every single fan for sale is 110 or 125. Trust me, I tried REAL hard to make this fan fit in that duct. It wasn't gonna happen. But whatever, got a reducer, cut to size and screwed it in.
Now here's the problem...if I move the duct out of the way, the fan fits just fine into the ceiling. Got the holes predrilled for it and everything, as you can see. BUT when I stick the fan into the duct, it won't fit into the ceiling. I think the problem is that the duct is just too inflexible. Because the space is so small, the duct needs to turn at a hard angle that it just isn't capable of turning at. With the old fan it wasn't a problem because it was very short, but newer fans are longer, like this.
(Also, I can't use a duct clamp to close the duct against the fan, because there's too much of a size difference between the duct & the size reducer attached to the fan. I tried, and it just tore through the duct.)
So I was thinking of going back to the hardware store and seeing if I could get a super flexible piece of duct, attach THAT to the fan, and then attach it to the duct as well. But it'll be 125mm in size, so .5mm larger than my current duct. How do I attach the end of the larger flexible duct, to the old duct?
This is where it exits. No attic in this house, just a flat roof. Somehow there was a bunch of stuff coming out of the duct when I pulled it out of the ceiling a bit. It looked like...rocks or little bits of a tar. There were also a few dead snails in the old fan lol
Advice would be highly appreciated. I never thought I'd hate a piece of duct so much. I was wondering if I'd be best off just replacing the entire duct, but I've never done anything like that before. And I'm trying not to discover new "old house" issues right now, our budget is super tight at the moment. I just want a working bathroom fan :')

And I'm trying not to discover new "old house" issues right now, our budget is super tight at the moment. I just want a working bathroom fan :')

'02 Jeep WJ, 4.0 42RE, NV242
Just swapped the transmission on my Jeep, with a high mileage unit as it's the only one I can find locally. Got it finished up yesterday, and went for a quick test drive(1/4 miles). When I left the house, everything seemed fine, although the gas pedal seemed a bit hard to push(the TV cable seems too short, so may have something to do with that.) By the time I made it back to the house, it sound like it was skipping, or something inside the transmission is tapping on something. It does so in every gear selector location other than park.
Before installing it, I did have the trans oil pump out(relocating the vent), and the intermediate thrust washers got out of place, and crushed them. Swapped them out with the ones from the transmission I removed(measured thicknesses and they matched). Another issue I had was that the first time I was installing, the torque converter slide forward as I was manhandling the transmission into the engine, and I did try pulling it in with the bolts, before realizing the torque converter must be out of place. I pulled it back out, pulled the pump out again, and didn't see any damage, although the inner pump gear did seem to slide around inside the pump awful easy.
I've yet to start tearing it all back apart. I'm hoping it's just the pump gear cracked, but then, did I damage something deeper in as well? Or did the mangled thrust washers damage something down in that area?
Can't source another used transmission locally. My options are left at trying to fix this one, rebuild one of the other 2 I've got here, or buy one for $500, with basically no warranty off Ebay. I don't have the budget to have a shop do a rebuild. I'm also looking at finding a beater to get around in until I get this sorted out.

Hello, I upgraded to 144hz monitor in 2020 (Phillips 242M8) but since it doesnt have height adjustable stand it really has taken a toll on my posture and neck. Since I have a job now and doesn't have to rely on year end sale anymore I'm planning to upgrade
Original plan was to upgrade to 27GP850-b which is a 180hz 1440p 27 inch IPS monitor but I think its good for the long run not the current setup I have... My current setup is Ryzen 3 3100 16GB ram RTX 3060
I saw a similar monitor 27GP750-b 240hz 27inch IPS which i think is good since I only play CSGO.
The question is do you think I should invest in 1440p since I'll probably upgrade the PC or Stay on 1080p but with higher refresh rate? My CPU is currently the bottleneck and I'm planning to upgrade to R7 5700x but for the GPU i think I won't for a while since I just got it last year...

I (22F) just came home to my bf (20M). I was visiting my family, the drive from my hometown to his place is about 35/40mins.
As I was driving, a really strong storm came down. I couldn't see anything, each car that passed woul cover my car with water, I was really scared. I told him and he even accidentally heard me scream in an audio.
Once I reached his place, I called him. There were no parking spots and it was raining really heavily, I asked him if I could park in front of his house and he said yes, I reminded him that I'm not good at parking really close to walls (it's an extremely narrow road), and he just said "oh. well come on the game is starting". I got pissed and hanged up right away. I drove over here scared and am asking you for somewhere to park and you just tell me to hurry because the game is starting?
I parked a little far from his house, waited for the rain to calm down, and got in. He tried to greet me and hug him and I told him how inconsidered what he said was. He said I was overreacting and that I could've just told him to help me park instead of hanging up. I said "well since you only cared to mention how your shitty team is about to play I figured I wouldn't even bother asking".
He's a very patriottic guy and extemely passioned abiut football, so he said something along the lines of "don't you dare call it shitty" and walked out. I just said "wow" and now he's gone to grab dinner.
So in all this, AITA?
