The Silo's IMDb page shows that Common (Sims) doesn't appear past Ep. 7, and that Tim Robbins (Bernard) doesn't appear past Ep 8.¹
We know from the "Trust" teaser that Sims and Bernard are probably part of the surveillance team^2,3, and that implies Bernard might be "him" since he's not judicial, and not very publicly known (more of an internal role).
However, since he doesn't appear past Ep. 8, from a writing perspective, I doubt he's "him". The show isn't scared of killing off characters, but I don't think they would want to kill off the leadecreator of the silo 2 episodes away from the finale. Same with Sims. If they were set on killing off the leader, wouldn't they at least wait until the season finale?
Additionally, in the trailer, Bernard is seen talking to someone in a cornfield, before a clip of Jules running in a cornfield and tackled by someone in riot gear is show. Bernard says "The clock is running. There isn't much time left."⁴
Bernard could either be talking to Jules, or someone on the riot police/gov't/surveillance team. If he's talking to Jules, that would go in line with him warming up to her; this could mean that he becomes a double agent, and his death might be due to someone high up finding out, or him sacrificing himself.
If Bernard is talking to someone on the silo/riot police team, this could signal that any kindness he's been showing towards Jules is just a ploy to get close to her. I'm leaning towards him helping Jules in some way since he's talking in a hushed voice and has a 'compassionately serious' expression. Him being helping Jules also lines up with my next point:
IMDb credits an actor we have't seen yet—one that even came to the premiere, yet only starts appearing in Ep. 8. That is, Christian Ochoa, or Amundsen. Amundsen is seen in the trailers^5,6 with the riot team. I think he's near the top, if not the leader of the silo. This might be kind of a stretch, but I think his name being a mononym also supports this since almost all of the silo-dwellers are credited with full names, while he is just "Amundsen." To our knowledge, he's also never been seen before, nor is he a member of Judicial, which lines up with what Regina said.
Lukas also appears all the way until the season finale, and I've considered it, but I don't think he's "him." He seems too young and curious, and I don't think some high up person would come down to sit around in the cafeteria tracking stars. It is interesting that there's a night time theme around Lukas though, and that "he" only comes at night. I'm leaning towards him maybe joining up with Juliet to find the truth.
I think Walker might know more than she's leading on; someone that old with friend(s) in high places might have more knowledge about the silo and its history, but then again, there are lots of other old people (e.g. Marnes) who just go about their day. Maybe she used to be part of the secret team running the silo behind the scenes but left, got shunned, wanted to live a simpler life, needed to prioritize maintenance, or was given the choice to clean or live down there.
Juliet's dad might also be a suspect, but he seems pretty pre-occupied with the whole doctor thing. (what happened to Allison's doctor ??)

To summarize, I think Bernard or Sims (leaning towards Sims since he's also shown without Bernard in the room³) is the guy they're hesitant to wake after seeing Juliet through the camera, and that the nighttime "he" questions guy might be Amundsen.
Then again, IMDb isn't always accurate (Gloria isn't credited as appearing after Ep. 1, even though we know from the trailer she appears in some kind of healthcare room on a bed⁷), we might not even see "him" this season, or it's just someone who hasn't even been added to the IMDb yet.
Also I might just be over-analyzing every unimportant detail (getting flashbacks to Severance)

Hello! This is just one write-up in a series of write-ups I will be doing making the case for the best survivor. For each write-up, I will look at one legendary player, and explain why they have an argument for being the best player survivor has seen. If you don't feel like reading, you can watch the YouTube video version of it on my channel.
Of all of the candidates, I can go over for the Best Survivor, Sandra might be the most difficult, and at the same time, the most simple one to make the case for. On paper she had a resume that stood for 39 seasons as an unbeatable, one-of-one achievement. Sandra came onto the show in Season 7 Pearl Islands and finished as the sole survivor of the season, which for many viewers already puts you in contention as one of the greatest survivors to ever play. 13 seasons later, on heroes vs villains, Sandra comes back, and wins her second million. In one of the most beloved and hyped of seasons, on one of the most star-studded casts, this little potty-mouthed lady found a way to get all the way to the end and be the sole survivor yet again. In a game where returning winners are immediately targeted as massive threats, this is an incredible achievement. Her title as the only two-time winner stood until a season of all returning winners was introduced, effectively ending the record no matter what happened. Even then, the player who won that season, Tony, needed a second season between his two winning ones to fumble the game and reduce his target for Winners at War. Every other returning player who you can think of, any great you can put a name on that returned for a second time, failed to do what Sandra did. It is a fact that Sandra’s two back-to-back wins immediately put her into the GOAT conversation for survivor. On the other hand, this is in fact Sandra we’re talking about. Now I love Sandra, and I know it sounds pretty rude, but at first glance, she seems to have zero of the qualities the best survivor player holds. So far in my series, my two other candidates for best ever have been domineering, physically fit alpha males, and you would be hard-pressed to find any other player as opposed to them as Sandra. She’s at worst a challenge liability who warms the sit-out bench, and in her two postmergers has not once won individual immunity. She isn’t some all-controlling godfather, and she isn’t exactly the master of the idol play. She speaks her mind and gets into fights with her tribemates. Winners are supposed to be threats to the game, but looking at all of this, maybe you can see the perspective of some - is she really ever an actual threat, or did she just luck out? What I have just outlined is the polarizing debate about Sandra that seems to follow her around. Because if you’re invested in Survivor like I am, there’s a huge chance you either think Sandra is one of, if not the best to ever play, or flat-out one of the worst winners who had the amazing fate of winning twice. Clearly, since this video is arguing for Sandra being the Best, I’ll stick with the former position in this video, but I’ll even let you know I have gone back and forth continuously about ranking Sandra as legendary or middling. I’ve thought about this a lot, and I will try my hardest in this video to convince you Sandra is the best, but I will not pretend she’s your standard fantastic player. What Sandra really is, is maybe the most unorthodox, unique player the game has ever seen.
Season 7 of survivor is probably the most engaging and chaotic of the early seasons. Sandra famously begins the season helping her tribe out by bargaining with the local villagers in spanish. She becomes a key part of Rupert’s Drake Tribe alliance, which gets her all the way to the merge. But that alliance is shattered by the third vote of the merge. This is due to some major shenanigans; for one, the unprecedented twist occurs of having two people who were previously voted out re-enter the game. Additional mischief ensues to the scheming of one Jonny Fairplay, in my eyes one of the most underrated strategists of the early game, and one of the great Sandra bickering partners. In large part due to the outcasts and Fairplay, Rupert is blindsided, and the Drake alliance crumbles, as Jon and the Outcasts slowly take over. Oh, but Sandra still wins. What? Yeah; even with her alliance crumbling and placed in arguably the most chaotic postmerge the game had seen up to that point, Sandra still makes it to the end and wins handily, 6-1. Oh, well, clearly she can’t repeat a run like that again. 6 years later, Sandra returned to the Villains tribe of the universally lauded season 20 of the show, Heroes vs Villains, where once more she is met with some unprecedented and chaotic 39 days, a game-changing strategist, and Rupert. This time, she ingrains herself in Boston Rob’s villain alliance in the early pre merge, before once more disorder ensues. Russell Hantz happens, using hidden immunity idols like no one ever has before to destroy Rob’s alliance, and eventually take out the Robfather himself all before the merge. Sandra appears to be down for the count, relegated to the perimeter of the villain's tribe along with the fellow challenge beast Courtney Yates, where she once more bickers with another squat little man for her remaining time in the game. The merge ensues, and just like at the villains' beach, through some all-time great idol play, the heroes roll over, one by one, to Russell. It seems like Hantz and Parvati are all but unstoppable… oh, and then Sandra wins again. 6-3. How does this keep happening? Is it really luck that Sandra, in some of the most chaotic seasons we’ve seen, beginning already in poor circumstances due to her poor challenge abilities and emphasized by her alliances continuously collapsing, wins not once but two times? Lightning does not strike twice, but Sandra does.
Yes, the haters will say, she really is that lucky. Like pearl island's final immunity challenge. For those that don’t know, in the final challenge of pearl islands, Jonny Fairplay has to win one more challenge against Lil and Sandra, to guarantee himself immunity and kick Sandra out. Jon is not a challenge threat but against them, he’s an Olympic athlete. Of course, the final challenge is all about squatting, the one thing Lil is good at. Wishy-washy Lil wins and very much in character, stabs fair play in the back and essentially hands Sandra the million, the contest being so one-sided due to said compulsive backstabbing. If the challenge was based around anything else except squatting, Sandra doesn’t win. Oh, and look at Heroes vs Villains, in the very last moments of that final immunity challenge. Jerri is less than half a second away from winning this immunity. If that happens, Sandra is out instead of Jerri in the final four. Maybe if you’re a real survivor nerd, you know that even with her translation help, Sandra was still probably the first to go out on the drake tribe if they lose the first challenge. Which by the way, the drake tribe win by no more than a couple yards. If the morgan team never hits a bit of muddy sand, Sandra Diaz-twine, potential best survivor ever candidate, is the first player voted out of her very first season.
You know, a wise man once said “ if ifs and buts were candies and nuts we'd all have a merry christmas", and that’s what I’m hearing here. These are all hypothetical situations that never happened. Who's to say they know if x, y, and z didn’t happen, sandra would have no chance of winning? Even without squats, women usually win the balance and focus-heavy final challenges of the first 7 seasons. In season 20, no matter who gets immunity Sandra is pretty safe considering russell and jerri saw her as a goat to bring to the end. In fact, jerri winning probably means Parvati goes in her place, and from what we know Jerri does not beat Sandra in a final tribal council scenario. And with the possibility of her getting out first… seriously, can you really call yourself a great survivor if you weren’t close to getting out first in your winning season? Also, why Sandra would just roll over and die? She has the ability to scramble and get the vote off of her, so why wouldn’t she in this scenario? Hypotheticals and calling out Sandra’s challenge luck only take you so far, let’s talk about all of the most obvious moments where she lacked luck. Season 7 episode 13, Jon and Burton seem to be wrapping the season up. One of the three women is going home next. While Jon and Burton are off for a reward, Sandra guides Darrah and Lil to begin flipping on the boys, once more preying on Lil and Darrah’s wishy-washy behavior. As the men get back to camp, she pretends to have given up on the game as they had predicted, setting up the spectacular blindside of Burton. Fast forward to Season 20 Episode 8. The villains' tribe loses in a disappointing fashion to the heroes, with Sandra’s close ally Courtney being the main target due to her poor challenge performance. Courtney seems like the obvious choice, except for the fact Sandra has been convincing Russell that Coach Wade is out to get him, as an act of vengeance for voting out his ally Rob. Russell in his paranoia believes Sandra for the most part, and even though Coach is completely fine with voting out Courtney to keep the tribe strong, he is instead blindsided, and Sandra’s ally is saved.
And never mind the unfortunate circumstances of having her alliances crumble around her and being forced to play from the bottom, one of the hardest situations a player can get themselves into. But no, doubters will tell you that actually, being at the bottom helped Sandra. She just got to sit on the sidelines while the bigger threats were taken out. In fact, if Russell had gone out just like Sandra wanted, she surely would have lost. That bitter jury hated Russell and his allies so much they would’ve voted for anyone instead of them, so no Russell equals no Sandra win. The first thing to address here is this; why are you bringing out the hypotheticals again man? Why are we automatically assuming that taking a far easier road would’ve meant absolute death for Sandra? We’ve seen this woman adapt to every crappy situation the game threw at her, why would it be so hard for her to once walk to the straightforward path to victory. Secondly, let’s talk about this “bitter jury” which purportedly handed Sandra the win unfairly. No matter what video you watch from me, I will never admit that a bitter jury is a thing, mainly because it isn’t. The jury is the end all be all of the game of Survivor. Being judged by your peers, and taking care of the way they see you are baked into the very essence of the game. Saying a jury can be bitter or wrong is like saying a basketball is wrong when you miss a shot. Ball don’t lie, and neither does a jury. Finally, sitting on the sidelines is a very diminishing term for the skill that might be the most important to the entire game: threat-level management. There are arguments for who is the best challenge beast or mastermind in Survivor History, but Sandra is without a doubt the greatest threat manager the game has ever seen. In her entire season, Sandra, who had all but one person write her name down on day 39, logged exactly 0 votes against her the previous 38 days. In her second season, now with the revered distinction as a returning winner, she logged a whopping… 3 votes against her. Now’s a good time to bring up Sandra’s other appearances. Sandra returned for two more appearances as a player, and once as a giant stone head. But for those player appearances, you would think, a two-time winner would be dead in the water immediately. Her target would just be too big to bare, and an appearance after the first vote of her tribe would be a miracle. But this is Sandra, so are you even surprised when I tell you she survived until day 16 both times, outlasting multiple players from her own tribes along the way? Yeah sure, day 16 is not exactly a long run, especially pre-shortened seasons, but anything past day 3 for a two-time winner should be looked at with bafflement. As well, both times Sandra got out on some pretty iffy terms. For those latter 2 seasons, she was relatively safe until the Jeff probst special, a lopsided tribe swap, which completely obliterated her chances of surviving in season 35 game changers. In 40 after a more fair swap occurred, but Sandra was the target of a pretty controversial idol play, that lots of people argued was a dumb move on the idol player’s part that Sandra couldn’t have predicted. To me, I think it still stands that Sandra’s threat-level management is of a caliber of its own. Her unmatched ability to sneak under the radar, allowing anyone but her to be the target of the episode, and the episode after that, and so on until it’s only her, does wonders, and it’s why she won twice. It also very much contrasts with the other great players of survivor history, who command groups of people or pull ingenious idol tricks to stay afloat. The contrast between these greats and Sandra is what makes her unique, but also, uniquely unappreciated by some fans.
For me, I feel the Survivor community at large uses completely conceptual ideas and phrases to judge a player’s abilities, phrases that unintentionally undervalue Sandra. You can look at her game, and say a thousand things; What are her physical, social, and strategic skills, does she have agency in the game, does she control a voting bloc, does she really have jury management… Look, I use a lot of these terms as well, but, do you really think this is the kind of stuff they were talking about during that first season in Borneo. Just for once, throw away these buzzwords about how a proper winner should play, and look at the pure, primordial essence of becoming sole survivor: getting to the end and winning over the jury. That’s it. And whose game better fit’s these simple parameters than Sandra. Let’s look at an example of how using survivor vocab overlooks Sandra’s unique winning abilities. In heroes vs villains a lot of people critique her for having little voting power and never being able to vote out Russell Hantz even though she attempted to orchestrate a plan throughout the post-merge. Let’s give more context to this situation, however: Yes, Sandra could not gather the remaining heroes to vote against Russell. What she did do however is use her open scheming against him to her advantage at the very end. She survived to the final tribal council where she proved she was the only remaining villain who had actively stood against Russell, something all the heroes, who were now out and hated the way Russell treated them respected dearly. Sandra showed she had separated herself from Russell’s alliance, something not even the great Parvati could do. All of this; leveraging your failed strategy as a way to win, does not fall under any one word or skill survivor nerds use, but it still works. I think Sandra is actually filled with a lot of these intangibles. She is very aware of others, is able to spot problem players early on, a master of picking at social cracks between people to stir the pot, etc, etc
Sandra’s playstyle is so simple it’s stupid. Call it under the radar or effective jury management or whatever, but simply put, in a game called Survivor, Sandra it the best at surviving. Until she held the biggest target on her back the game has ever seen, Sandra could survive to the end, and get the jury to like her over the remaining survivors. That’s all you need to win. And really winning is all that matters, especially in Survivor. Think about it; we are seeing the smallest slice of a season - about a whole month of contestants playing boiled down to 13-40 minute episodes. We as fans really know nothing about the success of a player. The only real evidence we have of a truly successful player, something the editors can’t cut out or warp, is that winning tally. So who are we to say Sandra isn’t the best player? Why question if she really is great, when the only concrete evidence we have points to a resounding yes. Not to sound like a broken record, but she has won twice, back to back, across multiple eras of the show. And looking at the modern seasons, which seem to heavily favor under-the-radar and non-domineering winners, do you think a newbie Sandra plopped in these contemporary games would do anything else but completely dominate? Her game style could work in any era of the show, under the worst conditions; Sandra would still find a way to win in her own, unique way. So when asking who is the best survivor, the survivor who has the greatest odds of winning it all, give me a player who can back that claim up with real results. Give me the queen, give me Sandra Diaz-Twine.

Hi there, for a little bit of context; I am an international student (20M) and have a group of close friends of 4 people. It is common that one of us has friends or family visit and we all spend time with our friend and the person they bring over, as to show the city, the pubs, etc.

For this last week and a half I have been talking to them that my best friend was coming over for the weekend to watch a football match on Saturday and that her stay would be Friday-Saturday-Sunday (morning). I am currently very upset because when Friday arrived all of them had to "study", I had let them know in the morning that she would arrive around 2 PM, and that we would be sitting at the terrace of the bar in the centre after I was done showing her the city, and for them to pop by to meet her. None of them did, I talked to them at 3 PM and they all said they were studying and that they'd talk to me later to meet us at the bar, but none of them did and my friend left already and I feel extremely upset that none of my friends (one of them my roommate) met her. My roommate was with his girlfriend all weekend, who is one of the four friends who also said they had to study.
exams are in two weeks, while I understand that yes, they might be studying for the exams. One of my friends lives with her window facing down the terrace we were at. I feel like while doing a break from studying she could have come down, said hi, and left back to study, that would have brought my roommate who is dating her down swell to meet my friend. I also don't buy the studying, because no one studies for 8 hours straight. Sadly I don't have any social media so I have no idea if they were at another plan while I was being told it was study, but I guess that is an advantage for me now.
I need advice on how to bring this up next time I talk to them, because for now we have been messaging and I have brought forward that I am very upset because of what I explained above, but they all say they were studying and didn't have time for it and for me to drop it. The thing is I feel like every time one of us has a problem, we all listen and aim to do better, and now that I am the one having an issue with their behaviour, it is up to me to drop it because they were all so busy. I would like to add that while they can obviously be studying, we live in a 15 minute city where everything is 15 minutes walking. Thank you to anyone who reads this

I‘m probably very late to the party but holy shit Dorit is such a pain in the ass. I‘ve never seen someone stirring the pot as bad as she does. She’s just going around changing her stories as often as her underwear and when confronted, she pretends to be confused and not understand where the problem lies. And then she explains her position instead of actually listening and dismisses the actual thing at once. I cannot understand why LVP just accepts her as she is. She certainly hasn’t done that for others. I feel a lot of it is because she’s longtime friends with PK but good lord it’s confusing. And yet it was basically the only storyline of the season. The competition between Kyle and Dorit. The rest of the whole season was simply boring.
As a German, I want to say something about the trip to Berlin. I find it fucking annoying when Germany is always associated with folk music and wind instruments etc. They edited the episodes with some kind of Queen of the Night trumpet version… like wtf!? We have so much more culture than that; also taking into consideration that Mozart was not even german but well.
The next season isn’t on Netflix (yet) but I sincerely hope Dorit gets less over the top and more genuine. I find it very very hard to watch. I wish we had the early seasons on Netflix 🥲🥲🥲🥲

It's been almost a year since I started playing through the Trails series, and I just beat Cold Steel 2! I basically binged through it in the past two weeks--the weather has been too hot to go outside, or so my excuse has been. I still have more to finish in Erebonia, but after two games I thought I'd get my thoughts out in text on both Cold Steel itself and how it relates to the rest of the games altogether. Warning, word-vomit ahead!
Crafts!
Crafts have always been around throughout the series, and there are usually a few stand out entries each game like Zin's Thunder God Kick, Elie's Holy Bullet in Zero, Lloyd's Raging Spin in Azure, and so on. Arts have definitely dominated though. However, never have there been so many good crafts across all the characters. I swear every single member on Class 7 had at least one really good craft, and I loved that. Even in the second game where accuracy for melee definitely took a hit, they were still extremely strong.
I still had characters I used mostly as mages like Emma, but even with her I would use her magic reflect craft frequently. Alisa's Heavenly Gift was a mainstay in my team for the entirety of Cold Steel 2. Fie's Sweep and Scud Ripper were incredible for going around and killing mobs, and her damage late Cold Steel 2 was so good I used her for most of the bosses as well. Jusis was basically used as a Noble Command bot because holy hell that is a lot of buffs. And that's not even talking about how good Rean's True Arc Slash, Gale EX and Flame Dragon were. Definitely hope this is the case for all future games as not having Arts be your only true option is incredibly fun.
Favorite Characters!
While overall I would say my attachment to Class 7 has been noticeably weaker after two games than with the Sky cast or the SSS, I do like some of the characters quite a lot. Fie has been my outstanding favorite in Cold Steel--her backstory is interesting, her characterization is both cute and funny, and she is strong and effective both in gameplay and story. She reminds me a lot of Tio with her generally deadpan expression and humor, and Tio is my one of my favorite characters so... I may be biased.
I feel Rean has been a pretty interesting main character too. Maybe not so much as Estelle, but at least moreso than Lloyd (no matter how much I love my boy). I do feel like they took some traits from Lloyd (speeches, denseness) and pasted them right over to Rean, but I guess that is just the shonen protagonist curse.
Apart from them, I've liked the development they gave Emma. I think they kept everything hidden/vague maybe a bit too long (I think they had the "Aren't you going to ask me about the weird witchy thing that just happened?" scene at least 3 times lol), but I appreciate her quite a lot. Alisa has not had too much plot relevance, which is unfortunate because I actually like her quite a lot. I think the romance between her and Rean is pretty cute, especially after the scene in Nord in CS1. I like how caring she is not just towards the protagonist, but towards all the other characters as well. She's a good big sister type haha.
Sara has been pretty decent, although I felt like she kept her distance from Class 7 somewhat in the second game which is a bit sad. I am happy to see her returning to the Bracer life though, and her backstory was cool to have confirmed. Jusis has been pretty good too--a bit disappointed in the long periods between when he has plot relevance, but I suppose that it just how it is sometimes. Millium is both an annoying gremlin and also my adorable child, and her backstory and characterization in terms of her empathy has been good. I cried as soon as I saw her cry for the first time in the epilogue haha.
I feel like Elliot was a fine character but I never got particularly invested in him. Same thing for Gaius and Machias. Laura is one character who I didn't use much of, but I like her overall and I feel like her character could definitely go somewhere interesting--especially with her ties to Legram and now her somewhat oblivious rivalry with Duvalie (which I love).
Returning characters!
I know he shows up at the very beginning, but I thought it was just going to be a cameo, so I got SO excited in Cold Steel 1 the SECOND I heard the lute being played by our favorite traveling bard. Disclaimer, he is probably my second or third favorite character so I may be biased, but every time this man was on screen brought me so much joy. I probably had a similar reaction in Azure when you meet Klaudia and The Wind from Liberl plays (I legitimately started crying lmao). I liked how they kept it mostly about Class 7 for both games though. Seeing Bleublanc and Duvalie before their actual introduction in the story was super fun too!
When I got to the divertissement and I heard Lloyd narrating, and then we SEE Crossbell and Lloyd/Rixia in proper 3d I about jumped out of my seat. My only regret is I didn't get to see my girl Tio! The dungeon felt a bit filler-y, but man, just getting to see the Crossbell cast again had me so excited, and the boss fight at the end surprised me and made me really interested for the next CS game too. Also... glad we got in a barrier speech from Lloyd right at the end lmao.
The Quartz System
I have a love-hate relationship with the new system. I would say on the whole I actually prefer the old system with the elemental values--I never found it particularly difficult to understand and I enjoyed optimizing it and having a large variety of arts options. I do think Master Quartz tend to help with that but it is still noticeable. That said, my LORD cold steel really steps it up for melee orbment setups which I appreciate so much, especially with how much crafts improved. It has some really good quartz like the different status-inflicting quartz, Impede being super useful, "Breaker" quartz, as well as really strong melee options like Domination, Carnage, or Wrath. Not directly related, but I also really liked the addition of Zero Arts turns--I loved equipping Chrono Burst on my melee character and occasionally getting the free double melee turns haha.
I also think the variety of Master Quartz is really good at this point--I loved using both Aries and Criminal on Emma and Alisa respectively. Aries let me absolutely spam Maelstrom, especially after getting water bell, basically for free. Criminal was great on Alisa for turns between using Heavenly Gift to maximize her damage with her lack of EP regen. Both Raven and Vermillion in CS2 were really good on Rean as well. Plus there are the dozen other great options--definitely one of my favorite features they have added.
The Plot Pacing and Stakes
Honestly my biggest complaint with the new arc. Cold Steel 1 had some weird stakes at the end of the game. While Sky FC had you going underneath the castle to save the country from Richard, and Zero had you making a last stand against the drugged-up CGF soldiers to stop them breaking into the IBC, CS1 has you going through the Old Schoolhouse at the end of the game because if they don't take care of it they... won't be able to have a school festival because the old schoolhouse is blue? I know it's so you get Valimar, but compared to the other games the stakes in that moment really felt like a letdown. Thankfully, the very end hits--Crow does his thing and Trista gets invaded, Rean gets launched off, and now you're excited for the next game. It kind of had me expecting a Fire Emblem: Three Houses deal for the second game.
Cold Steel 2 has you going around to collect your team again in Act 1, and then retaking the towns in Act 2. I think Act 1 was mostly fine--a bit repetitive maybe, and it doesn't have the benefit the first game had of these places being new to keep the repetitive structure fresh. Act 2 I really started to feel the burnout with the liberating towns cycle and the spirit shrines. The recapturing of Trista and the academy was an idea that had me really excited, but after the one mech battle the only people there to fight you are... 8 nobles from the academy, 6 of which were students? Which wasn't only an easy fight, but also... there were only two duels! It felt way too easy, which really felt like a letdown.
The finale itself was really good overall--the Infernal Castle was awesome. As Millium put it, it really felt like a final dungeon. It still felt a bit weird how Vita set up this whole duel, Crow lost, and then she didn't explain why the duel happened, but I am guessing that is less of a problem with the stakes and more something that will be explained in a future game. (Side note: I suspected the witches were destined to repeat a cycle of the two Chevalier's fighting and Vita left because she wanted to break that cycle, but that doesn't seem to be the case so... we will see.) I feel like the game itself should've ended after the divertissement and maybe another cutscene, but the epilogue went on WAY too long. I ended up blazing through the dungeon as fast as I could and got to the boss, and the boss literally says "there is no point to beating me" which made me laugh given the issues I have had with the stakes, but with all the classmates going their separate ways it felt like one last victory lap to show how much they had grown--both in their own capacity and with each other, so it got a pass from me haha. Still WAY too long though.
"Time for me to stop holding back."
Seriously, how many times did this happen? Did we actually beat anyone in CS2? One thing I've enjoyed about the Trails series so far is very few people are so ridiculously strong they can't be overcome with teamwork. There are some exceptions I have been fine with, like facing Arianrhod in Azure--it makes sense. Honestly, a number of them in CS2 made sense but the frequency of it was somewhat infuriating. Minor complaint, especially since I know we have two games to go, but still.
Lack of Character Development
I feel like, maybe besides Rean and a select few characters (Fie, Emma, maybe Jusis and Sara a bit?), there was not much character development in CS2 which was a let down. Plot definitely took precedence, but I felt that was somewhat repetitive and mediocre which is a shame haha.
Friendly, Bespeckled Academic-types
Professor Alba was obvious, I caught that one practically from when we first saw him. Joachim I didn't suspect because I thought "there's no way they could do it again!", and barely figured it out just before they actually revealed it. I didn't suspect Big Bear Grimwood because he was so chill and SURELY they wouldn't do the glasses thing again. Little did I know.
The SECOND, and I mean the SECOND I saw Instructor Thomas, I had my eye on him. And his last name is Lysander? LYSANDER? Could you come up with a more villainous sounding last name? And he's always smiling! Like come on. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. If you're going to fool me a third time, EXTRA shame on me. I wasn't having it. I was convinced it was him.
...Do I at least get half points?
FINAL THOUGHTS
Honestly, while CS2 had some really cool moments (especially right at the end, like the Ironblood reveal and the Osborne reveal), this was probably my least favorite Trails game so far. CS1 had its own problems but I feel it ended with a decent setup, but CS2 bungled it a little bit IMO. It's still a really good game, but just the weakest of the Trails games I've played. I'm also not nearly as attached to Class 7 after two games as I was the majority of the Sky cast/the SSS. That said, there are two more games to play so maybe that will change! Plus, it sounds like we are going to see the Crossbell cast next game, which I am EXTREMELY excited for. I will probably cry tears of joy when I see Tio in 3D. I'm interested to see where the plot with Rean goes after this point, what the deal with Vita and Ouroboros is, and what Osborne's goal is, what the HELL is Thomas up to and where the hell the supposed TWO Sept-Terrions of Erebonia?? All in all, lots more to look forwards to!

I have met a wonderful widower of 8 years I am a widow of 3 years. We are intending to live together once we sort out some domestic issues. My late husband's ashes are buried under a tree in daffodil glade at the crematorium. My daughter and I can go anytime and hug the tree to feel connected to her father.
My new partner has his wife's ashes in a box next to his bed. I know I am not happy about this, and want him to move them to another place. How can I explain that I do not feel I want his late wife in the home...and he should place the remains somewhere else? I know if he refuses that I may have to decide to end our relationship as it does affect me quite a lot. Am I being too selfish? H e wants me to move in with him very soon...but I am unsure how to tell him how I feel?

I'm sure all of us (except beefytrout and others) want a spinoff or spinoffs if we can't get more OG Ted Lasso.
What would everyone like to see if we can't get more Ted?
I would love it if instead of picking just 1 they do 3 or 4 spinoffs with 6 or 8 episodes each that run concurrently and are slightly intertwined with Richmond AFC's season. Like KBPR and The Lady Greyhounds, Dr Fieldstone: Headshinker, Roy Kent: Gaffer, and Beard Payne. Or whatever. That way the main characters of each story aren't overworked and are just background in the other stories.

For the past 3 years I've been dealing with Emotional Numbness and Sexual Dysfunction that all began after an intense and chronic episode of stress, depression, and anxiety. My body and brain was constantly in fight or flight mode and then one day all of a sudden everything just seemed to shut down and things haven't been the same since.
Regarding the Sexual Dysfunction, I have Erectile Dysfunction. My erection quality has significantly diminished. I no longer wake up in the morning with an erection, I can't get an erection or maintain one, and I don't get random erections anymore.
My sex drive is also gone. I used to have a very high sex drive. I no longer feel sexual attraction, desire, thoughts, etc. I no longer have an urge to have sex or even masturbate.
I've also noticed that I have reduced sensation to my penis. When I try to stimulate it, it just feels dead.
With the Emotional Numbness, my emotions are severely blunted. I can't feel arousal, I can't feel adrenaline, I can't laugh like I used to, I can't feel euphoria, etc. I also can no longer feel stress hormones. I can no longer feel the sensation of my heart beating out of my chest when I am in adrenaline inducing sensations.
The Emotional Blunting and the Sexual Dysfunction have been the most bothersome symptoms, but other symptoms I have noticed in addition to this are: I don't have an appetite, I have muscle tension, and I also have brain fog/head pressure.
I believe that episode of intense stress, anxiety, and depression caused inflammation to my brain and body that has been difficult to reverse.
I've had my Hormones checked via blood. My Cortisol in the morning was pretty elevated. I had an ACTH Stimulation Test done, but it actually revealed my Cortisol was a bit lower than it should be. My Endocrinologist had me take Hydrocortisone for 8 weeks, but I felt no difference.
I also had an MRI of my Brain and Pituitary Gland and both were normal.
I am currently seeing a Functional Medicine Doctor and he ordered further testing including a Cortisol Saliva Test and a 24 Hour Dried Urine Test.
These were the abnormalities noted from my blood tests:
1) My Vitamin D was insufficient. The value was 28.3: Reference Range: 31.0 -80.0 ng/mL.
2) My White Blood Cell Count was low. The value was 3.52. Reference Range: 4.00 - 11.00 K/uL
3) My Vitamin A was high. The value was 62.5. Reference Range: 18.9 - 57.3 ug/dL
4) My Estradiol was high. The value was 49 pg/mL. Reference Range: < OR = 39 pg/mL
4) I had an Essential Fatty Acid Deficiency.
5) I had an Increased Insulin Level.
6) My Vitamin B6 was on the lower side.
7) My Testosterone levels were normal. They were listed at 872 ng/dL. Reference Range: 250-1100 ng/dL.
8) My Free Testosterone was a little high. It was listed at 160.2 pg/mL. Reference Range: 35.0 - 155.0 pg/mL.
9) My Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) was high. It was listed at 98 ng/dL. Reference Range: 12-65 ng/dL.
10 Cortisol, A.M. was slightly elevated via blood. It was listed at 22.3 mcg/dL. Reference Range 8 A.M. (7-9 A.M.) Specimen: 4.0-22.0.
I also had a 24 Hour Dried Urine Test and Saliva Test that revealed the following:
1) b-Pregnanediol was below range. The value was 32.0 ng/mg. Normal Range: 75-400.
2) a- Pregnanediol was on the low end of range. The value was 31.4 ng/mg. Normal Range: 20-130.
3) Estradiol (E2) was above the range. The value was 2.2 ng/mg. Normal Range: 0.50-2.2.
4) Estriol (E3) was above the range. The value was 10.6 ng/mg. Normal Range: 2-8.
5) 4-OH-E1 was above the range. The value was 0.8 ng/mg. Normal Range: 0-0.8.
6) Total Estrogen was above the range. The value was 34.8 ng/mg. Normal Range: 10-34.
7) 2-Methoxy-E1 was on the high end of range. The value was 2.34 ng/mg. Normal Range: 0-2.8.
8) Androsterone was above the range. The value was 3157.0 ng/mg. Normal Range: 500-3000.
9) 5b-Androstanediol was on the high end of range. The value was 244.6 ng/mg. Normal Range: 40-250.
10) Saliva Cortisol - Waking (W) Was above the range. The value was 6.3 ng/mL. Normal Range: 1.6 - 4.6.
11) Saliva Cortisol - W+30 min was on the low end of range. The value was 3.96 ng/mL. Normal Range: 3.7 - 8.2.
12) Saliva Cortisol - W+60 min was below the range. The value was 2.2 ng/mL. Normal Range: 2.3 - 5.3.
13) Saliva Cortisol - Afternoon was on the low end of range. The value was 0.48 ng/mL. Normal Range: 0.4 - 1.5.
14) Saliva Cortisol - Night was within range. The value was 0.33 ng/mL. Normal Range: 0 - 0.9.
15) Saliva Cortisone - Waking (W) was above range. The value was 23.13 ng/mL. Normal Range: 6.8 - 14.5.
16) Saliva Cortisone - W+30 min was above range. The value was 19.74 ng/mL. Normal Range: 12.4 -19.4.
17) Saliva Cortisone - W + 60 min was above range. The value was 15.59 ng/mL. Normal Range: 9.4 - 15.3.
18) Saliva Cortisone - Night was on the high end. The value was 3.93 ng/mL. Normal Range: 0-0.48.
19) Saliva Cortisone Total - Above range. The value was 65.96 ng/mL. Normal Range: 36 - 55.
20) a-Tetrahydrocortisol (a-THF) - Above range. The value was 877.0 ng/mg. Normal Range: 175 - 700.
21) Pyroglutamate was on the low end of range. The value was 45.8 ug/mg. Normal Range: 38 - 83.
22) Homovanillate (HVA) was on the low end of range. The value was 5.7 ug/mg. Normal Range: 4 - 16.
His Nurse Practitioner ordered other blood tests for further investigation and accuracy including:
• CBC and differential • Vitamin A and Metabolite • Hemoglobin A1c • Estradiol • Cortisol • Free Testosterone Evaluation • Pregnenolone • DHEAS • Dihydrotestosterone • Basic Metabolic Profile • Lipid Profile
The Nurse Practitioner gave me three supplement recommendations:
1) OmegaGenics® EPA-DHA 1000 (60 Softgels) (Metagenics): Please take 1 gel, once / day.
2) Vitamin D3 2500iu (100 Softgels) (Jarrow Formulas): Please take 1 gel, once / day.
3) B6/B1 Plus Zinc (90 capsules) (Biotics Research): Please take 1 capsule, once / day.
I am also currently seeing a Psychiatrist. I've tried Wellbutrin starting at 150MG, then 300MG, and then 400MG to no avail. I then tried Rexulti along with the Wellbutrin and it didn't help. I then tried Trintellix and that didn't help. He put me on Auvelity for 8 weeks and I felt no difference. He is currently having me take a low dose of Geodon along with the Auvelity for the last 4 weeks. So far not much of a difference.
This is where I stand right now. I am still investigating and working with my Psychiatrist as well as my Functional Medicine Practitioner.
I just wanted to know what do you guys think about my test results as it correlates with my symptoms?

gyokko was so stinkin weak, like fr. didnt even put up a fight. dont even try me with the "muichiro wouldve died to the bubble thing tho" bc that wasnt super powerful, just clever. he should swap ranks with gyoutaro bc he was objectively stonger i swear. if anyone thinks otherwise, pls say bc i just feel kinda underwhelmed. the animation was rlly good tho
