2022.09.11 02:25 AnywhereBeautiful340 Challenges That Don't Involve Relationships or Children

I originally posted this as a comment to someone else's thread, they were asking how to keep things interesting without involving any family gameplay. I thought it would be interesting as a post to hear others ideas: So for people who are looking for new ideas or challenges that completely DON'T involve romantic relationships and/or having/adopting children here are my ideas so far:

Start with a vampire sim and try to turn as many other sims into vampires as you can.
Try to reach max level in all available skills.
Complete all the collectibles collections.
Complete every aspiration (whether you include the family ones or not is your choice).
Rags to riches challenge - I did this once but didn't allow myself to buy ANY furniture, EVERY piece of furniture has to be either made (e.g. woodworking bench, easle, robotics station & has to be on a community lot, you cannot buy the work stations on your own lot. But you can edit community lots to include them), gifted to you, acquired through career rewards, swiped with the kleptomanic trait, planted or bought at the flea market. Start with an empty lot & the only thing you are allowed to purchase in build/buy mode is walls, flooring, wallpaper, stairs, doors, windows, mailbox & roof. That was quite a fun and difficult challenge.
Try to make an enemy of every townie. Also can flip it to try and make every townie a good friend.
There are some interesting mods for sims 4 which make for good challenges e.g. basemental drugs (become a drug dealer), the creator of the extreme violence mod also made a superheros & villains mod (not played it so unsure how it runs but if it works defo some fun stuff you could do with that).
Build something different on every lot (bulldozing existing houses/community lots and starting from scratch).
I love creating sims so sometimes when I'm bored I'll just spend hours remaking all the townies.
Become a gardener and that's your only source of income. start off with a basic house & 1 seed packet and then you are only allowed to earn money from selling your fruits/veggies. You have to harvest any additional plants you didn't get from the 1 seed packet from community lots, and no planting flowers or money trees, only fruit & veggies.
Playing the scenarios is sometimes pretty fun too, although I find they end too quickly.
Achieve silver AND gold standard for every type of social event (can tie this in with the party animal? aspiration too).
Build something wierd & out there - saw a person on this sub recently make a ufo spacecraft nightclub, looked really cool.
If you have dine out: Own a restaurant and reach 5 stars (absolute ball-ache to get).
Have an evil sim who wants to build a graveyard in their backgarden (kill off as many townies as possible e.g. drowning them in the pool) and collect their tombstones to build your graveyard, see how many you can get in their lifespan.
Have a sim reach level 10 in every career (and path) - note: would need aging turned off for this.
The sims 4 jungle adventure expansion pack provides some solid hours too if you want to complete the entire collection of artifacts.
Have 8 sims unrelated in a house, do your best to make them hate each other as much as possible and when one of them dies the rest throw a party, the last one left is the winner (entering greystillplays territory I know but his stuff is solid comedy).
Create an adult & child sim. Kill off the adult on the first day and try to get the child to survive/not get taken away and make it to adulthood.
Become the ultimate freeloader - purchase an empty lot and never build or buy anything on it, set household funds to zero, stay unemployed. Your sim has to survive solely on others & visiting community lots (e.g. sleeping on benches, stealing food other sims have cooked, visiting other sims houses and using their stuff, build your skills at gyms, galleries, etc) The kleptomanic trait could help with this too, as you can sell swiped stuff to pay bills and purchase food from stalls/bars in times of desperation.
Trap as many townies as you can in your basement, create a massive basement with the essentials needed & some entertainment items, invite every townie you meet over, as they go down there lock the doors behind them - gather as many as you can and watch the chaos unfold (this will probably end when your game crashes).

Please add your ideas to this post! Remember: it can't involve: 1) Having romantic relationships or marrying, 2) Having or adopting children.

2022.05.08 20:55 RickGrimes30 PS5 anyone else have problems with bookmarked jobs

I belive its been sinbe the last update im not able to open or play bookmarked jobs.
I love challange races so I have a ton of them so it sucks I can't access them.. Especially when a new greystillplays video comes out and I feel the need for masochism..
I've contacted Rockstar and they say they are aware of it I'm just wondering how many here are having this issue..

Alright, I had gotten out of the game a little while ago, for one reason or another... And I really want to get back into the game, it is alot of fun. With the weather changing I figured now would be the perfect time to get into it again.
As the title says I have a general idea of what to do, I have watched a few playthroughs of interloper, the old greystillplays series, but I am still rather green. So of anyone has any advice for me it would be much appreciated
